Start with the product, not just the destination

A request for “cold delivery” leaves out the information that determines the vehicle and handling. Describe the product, its required transport temperature, the number of packages and when they will be ready. Tell us whether the receiver expects chilled or frozen goods; those instructions are not interchangeable.

WTM operates refrigerated Sprinters for smaller shipments and refrigerated 5-ton trucks for larger orders. The quote should reflect packed dimensions and total weight, not just the number of items on a sales invoice. A few small cartons and several bulky catering containers may need different amounts of vehicle space.

Choose local, inbound or outbound service

For deliveries entirely within Calgary, provide both addresses and the receiving window. Same-day refrigerated delivery is available for suitable bookings, with pickup and arrival agreed before dispatch. A restaurant replenishment order and a timed venue delivery need different handoff arrangements even when the driving distance is similar.

For a shipment leaving or entering Calgary, provide the full route rather than assuming a local booking includes the regional journey. Existing WTM refrigerated routes connect Calgary with markets including Edmonton, Lethbridge and Banff. Other movements are planned around the exact origin, destination and equipment requirement.

Build a repeatable delivery arrangement

A supplier sending orders every week benefits from a clear collection routine: the order-release contact, usual package count, temperature instruction and receiving hours. Give WTM that pattern when requesting recurring deliveries. Occasional larger orders or extra stops can then be quoted against a known starting point.

Our guaranteed next-day commitment applies to shipments accepted onto the applicable next-day coverage service. For those bookings, plan around the 11 a.m. cutoff and have dispatch confirm the lane. It is not a substitute for agreeing a same-day local deadline.

Make the first request useful

Include the person who can release the goods and the person who can receive them. Mention stairs, a loading dock, restricted access or a need for tailgate handling before approval. The aim is straightforward: the right refrigerated vehicle arrives for an order that is ready, and the receiver knows what is coming.
