WTM Logistics · Calgary refrigerated delivery
A Calgary refrigerated courier pickup goes more smoothly when the sender releases a measured, labelled and transport-ready consignment. Use the product owner's packing and temperature instructions first, then give WTM the details needed to arrange the vehicle and handoff. Refrigeration is one part of the plan; packaging and receiving readiness are separate parts.

Finish preparation before requesting collection
Confirm the product is ready under the sender's handling process and pack it into suitable closed transport units. The courier does not select products, repack portions or turn an unfinished order into a released shipment. State the time those tasks will be complete.
CFIA guidance describes moving refrigerated or frozen food directly into a pre-cooled or pre-frozen conveyance and arranging loads to avoid damage and contamination. For your consignment, use the product owner's preparation process and communicate the required conditions before collection. Read the CFIA guidance.
Measure the package that will actually travel
Record the length, width and height of each outer package, plus gross weight. Include insulated containers, protective packing and reusable totes. If there are several sizes, list them separately rather than using the measurements of the smallest box for the whole order.
Mark packages that must remain upright or cannot be stacked. A delicate dessert carton and a dense sealed ingredient case may require different loading space. Tell dispatch about handles, racks or loading assistance needed for larger containers.
Make the order identifiable at both ends
Use the sender and receiver names, delivery address and order reference on the outer consignment. For several destinations, separate each stop's packages and state its count. Do not require the driver to open product packaging to decide which items belong to each buyer.
Keep supplier product documents associated with the order as required by your business process. The transport reference connects the movement to those records but should not be mistaken for the complete product label or batch record.
Use this pickup checklist
Before release, confirm that the packed count matches the quote; the required transport condition is stated; the release contact knows WTM is collecting; the receiving person is available; and loading access or additional handling is included. Update dispatch when any of those details changes.
For mixed product requirements, identify each group separately. Do not assume an insulated box eliminates the need to book the correct transport conditions. The existing refrigerated-versus-insulated-packaging guide addresses that broader service choice; this checklist addresses a shipment already being prepared for refrigerated collection.
Keep the handoff clear
The sender releases the prepared goods, WTM provides the agreed transportation, and the receiver accepts the delivery at the specified location. Use GPS tracking to follow the movement and keep the POD with the order reference. Arrange any return of empty transport containers separately rather than leaving it implicit.
Manage the shipment through your Customer Portal
Request a new shipment, review and approve the quote, and pay online in the WTM Customer Portal. Follow the delivery with real-time GPS tracking and find issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and previous shipments in your account.

Frequently asked questions
Should I measure the food or the outer box?
Measure the complete transport package and include its gross weight. The vehicle must accommodate the packaging as well as the product.
Will the driver pack a mixed order at collection?
No. Release prepared packages and provide clear counts by destination. Discuss unusual handling before confirming the service.
Put the details into your next refrigerated quote. Send WTM the pickup and delivery locations, packed shipment details, required temperature and deadline.
