Choose hotshot because the deadline needs it

A workshop intake, production slot or customer commitment may make the direct journey worthwhile. State the latest useful receiving time and explain whether it is firm. A flexible pallet shipment may be better suited to LTL, while a time-critical small item can still justify a hotshot.

Freight size and urgency are separate decisions. A large crate is not automatically urgent, and a small component is not automatically suitable for a routine courier timetable. WTM can quote the service using both the physical load and the deadline.

Quote the actual origin in Lloydminster

Give the supplier, workshop or yard address and the contact authorised to release the load. Identify the entrance or loading point. Where equipment is held outside the city, use the actual location rather than substituting a city address that is easier to describe.

Confirm the ready time with the releasing business. Immediate dispatch after confirmation is different from instant pickup at any location. Vehicle position, equipment suitability and the sender’s readiness determine the collection arrangement.

Plan handling at both ends

Provide the complete piece count, packed dimensions and gross weight. Include pallets, cases and any separate accessories. Name the available loading and unloading equipment and disclose an appointment or ground-level delivery requirement.

For an enclosed load, identify surfaces or components requiring protection. For equipment needing different transport, describe its shape and handling needs rather than assuming every hotshot uses the same truck. WTM’s equipment is selected for the accepted shipment.

Keep the southbound booking distinct

A prior Calgary-to-Lloydminster delivery does not automatically include the return load. The return movement has its own release, destination and price. Any replacement-and-return arrangement should describe both legs and what happens if the return unit is not ready.

Use the Customer Portal to request the quote, approve the service, pay online and follow GPS tracking. Available BOLs, PODs and invoices provide a transport history. Technical acceptance and repair outcomes remain with the receiving business.
