WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · Freight hotshot
WTM Logistics provides freight hotshot transport from Calgary to Lloydminster for accepted pump assemblies and maintenance replacements needed within a shutdown window. The dedicated movement should connect a completed supplier release with a receiving crew ready to take the load. Give dispatch the packed assembly details and the latest useful arrival time.
Dedicated direct freight · 24/7 dispatch · Equipment matched to the accepted load
Confirm the replacement is ready as an assembly
Ask the supplier which components travel with the unit. A pump, mounting base and separate coupling may form one installation requirement but several transport pieces. Identify the completed package count before collection so a missing accessory does not undermine the purpose of the urgent shipment.
The maintenance team should confirm the part or job reference. WTM moves the designated goods; the buyer and supplier remain responsible for engineering compatibility and installation decisions.
Measure the unit as it will travel
Provide the outside dimensions and gross weight of the skid or crate, not only the bare pump. Tell dispatch about lifting points, orientation, non-stackable surfaces and any supplied packing restraints. Equipment selection depends on the finished load and safe handling arrangements.
Declare residues, fluids or other special contents accurately. A used replacement or exchange unit may require different preparation from a new boxed assembly. Have the supplier prepare it for transport and disclose the relevant handling requirements before acceptance.
Coordinate the receiving crew and equipment
Name the actual Lloydminster handoff point and the person who can accept the unit. A maintenance planner at head office may not control the site gate or unloading equipment. Include the site contact and the equipment the receiver will have available.
A hotshot delivery does not automatically include crane work, installation or moving machinery into position. State any additional requirement explicitly. Tailgate-equipped transport may suit certain loads, but suitability depends on the actual unit and the handling plan.
Keep the shutdown deadline visible
Explain when the receiving team needs the assembly, allowing for its own inspection and installation steps. WTM dispatches immediately after shipment confirmation; actual pickup depends on origin, equipment position and readiness. The accepted booking establishes the delivery commitment.
Track the movement through the Customer Portal and keep the transport reference connected to the maintenance work order. The POD records the handoff, while the maintenance team records installation and return to service. That makes the urgent delivery part of a traceable job rather than an isolated phone call.
Pump hotshot questions
Can a single skid justify dedicated transport?
Yes. The deadline and operational need can make one accepted skid time-critical even when it does not fill the vehicle.
Is the failed unit’s return included?
Only when it is described and agreed. Provide its separate packed details, release time and receiving destination for an exchange or return quote.
