WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · Freight hotshot
WTM Logistics provides freight hotshot transport for accepted reusable racks, fixtures and shipping frames moving from Lloydminster back to Calgary. An empty rack can still be time-critical when a supplier needs it to prepare the next finished load. Quote the actual return asset and the production deadline rather than describing it as weightless packaging.
Dedicated direct freight · 24/7 dispatch · Equipment matched to the accepted load
Confirm which return assets belong in the shipment
Use the owner’s rack or asset references and agree the quantity available for release. Reusable frames can look similar while serving different products. The releasing business should identify the exact assets authorised to leave.
Check that the rack is genuinely empty and that no tools, loose parts or product remain on it. Record its condition in your own process. The carrier transports the declared return asset; it does not decide ownership or whether a damaged rack is fit for further production use.
Measure the space, not just the weight
A return frame may occupy significant floor space even when it is light. Provide its outside dimensions in the state it will travel. If the owner permits nesting or folding, quote the resulting packed arrangement and disclose any restrictions.
Do not assume racks can be stacked because they are empty. Stability, lifting access and securing arrangements still matter. Identify the loading and unloading equipment available at both businesses before selecting the transport vehicle.
Explain what makes the return urgent
Tell WTM when the Calgary supplier needs the rack for its next task. A vague request to bring it back soon may fit a planned service; a defined manufacturing release can justify a dedicated hotshot. The supplier’s internal process determines the useful intake time.
For illustration, a manufacturer may need a specific frame to secure a completed assembly before its next shipment. Returning the correct frame before packing begins can be more important than returning several unrelated empty pallets. Identify that priority in the booking.
Plan the receiving handoff and later outbound load separately
Name the receiving team and storage or production entrance. Delivery of the rack does not automatically include waiting while it is loaded or carrying the next product shipment. Describe any planned turnaround explicitly, with the expected readiness and new load details.
The WTM Customer Portal provides quote decisions, payment, GPS tracking and available transport documents. Link the POD to the owner’s asset reference so the return can be reconciled without confusing it with the new product shipment that follows.
Return-rack questions
Can an empty rack be a hotshot load?
Yes. Its operational deadline can justify dedicated movement even when it contains no saleable product.
Is rack cleaning or repair included?
No. The responsible business prepares and assesses its return assets. Describe any transport-specific handling needs before booking.
Manage transport without losing the paperwork
Your WTM Customer Portal supports new requests, quote review and approval, online payment, live GPS tracking and historical shipment records. Issued BOLs, PODs and invoices stay accessible with the movement they document.
WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. The applicable offer is confirmed with your quote; the two offers are not automatically combined.
