WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · LTL

WTM Logistics can move accepted reusable crates, totes and returnable packaging from Lloydminster to Calgary by planned LTL. Returning packaging is still a freight movement with real dimensions, handling needs and an authorised receiver. Build the load from the assets ready to leave, not the number originally delivered months earlier.

Reconcile the return inventory first

Use the packaging owner’s asset or return references and agree what is being sent back. Separate damaged items from ordinary serviceable returns in your records. The receiving business determines whether an asset can be reused or attracts a credit.

Check that the units are empty and prepared for carriage. Do not leave undeclared product, tools or waste inside containers described as empty. Any residues or special contents must be disclosed before WTM accepts the load.

Quote the actual nested or assembled dimensions

Some containers can be nested or folded when their owner permits it. Measure the finished return arrangement after doing so. A stack of nested crates and the same count of assembled crates can have very different transport footprints.

Provide gross weight and identify limits on stacking or securing. Make the load stable and suitable for the available handling equipment. The fact that packaging carried a product safely before does not guarantee an unstable empty stack is ready for transport now.

Identify the return depot and unloading arrangement

The Calgary receiver may use a packaging store or yard rather than its main product warehouse. Obtain the address, appointment and reference it expects. Include loading and unloading equipment at both ends, especially where containers are stored at ground level.

For illustration, a distributor can consolidate several approved empty tote stacks into one planned return. Number the handling units and show the asset quantities on its own return list. The carrier checks the transport units; the owner reconciles individual packaging assets.

Use the right service for the return’s urgency

Routine empty packaging can be evaluated as LTL. A specific rack needed immediately for production is a different task and may justify freight hotshot. Tell dispatch the real deadline instead of describing all empty returns as either unimportant or urgent.

The Customer Portal supports quote approval, payment, GPS tracking and issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Link the transport record to the packaging owner’s return list. A delivered stack is transport evidence, while cleaning, repair and reuse approval remain with the relevant business.

Returnable-packaging questions

Does WTM clean or repair the containers?

Not as part of an ordinary freight booking. The owner or responsible business prepares and assesses the return assets.

Is returning empty packaging free with the original delivery?

No automatic return is implied. Describe the load and destination so WTM can quote the separate movement or an expressly agreed two-way arrangement.

An online account for your next delivery

The WTM Customer Portal brings shipment requests, quote decisions and online payments together. Use real-time GPS tracking for active shipments and access the BOL, POD and invoice as those documents are issued. Refer to historical shipments when planning the next order.

WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. The applicable offer is confirmed with your quote; the two offers are not automatically combined.

Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request access at admin@wtmlogistics.com.

Ready to move your shipment? Send WTM the collection and delivery addresses, packed load, ready time and required arrival. Include temperature or special-handling requirements where applicable.
