Have the responsible team prepare the unit

The owner or service team should make the equipment ready for carriage following the applicable manufacturer and workshop instructions. Disclose retained fluids, pressure-related concerns, batteries or any other special conditions for review. WTM should not be expected to make operating equipment transport-ready at pickup.

Record the equipment identity and service reference in your own paperwork. If only a removed component is travelling rather than the whole machine, say so clearly and provide the dimensions of that component’s finished packaging.

Describe the handling unit accurately

A unit on a transport skid may have a larger footprint and higher gross weight than the bare equipment. Include the base, crate and accessories in the measurements. Identify where it may be lifted and any orientation or stacking restrictions supplied by the responsible service team.

State the loading equipment available in Lloydminster and the unloading equipment at the Calgary workshop. A dedicated truck does not automatically bring a forklift, crane or personnel to carry a heavy unit through a building.

Book for workshop intake rather than hoped-for repair completion

Ask the receiver when it can accept the load and what it needs on the accompanying paperwork. The desired repair completion date is not itself a receiving appointment. WTM can quote direct transport against a confirmed intake requirement.

For illustration, a workshop may ask to receive a prepared component before its assessment period. Give that intake time, the release contact and the packed load details. The workshop then manages its own inspection and repair schedule after receiving.

Keep the return journey open until the unit is ready

The repaired equipment may need different packaging, or the receiver may supply a replacement of another size. Obtain updated packed measurements before booking the return. Do not assume the original vehicle arrangement remains appropriate automatically.

The Customer Portal supports quote approval, payment, GPS tracking and issued transport documents. Link those records to the service job, while keeping condition assessments, repair decisions and warranty records with the workshop.

Compressor transport questions

Can a removed compressor component travel instead of the whole machine?

Yes. Describe the actual prepared component, its packaging and any special contents or handling requirement.

Will the driver dismantle or disconnect equipment?

No. Arrange preparation with the responsible personnel before collection and disclose any additional transport handling needed at booking.
