Identify what the deadline is protecting
A customer might need a replacement tool before an installation, a prepared parts order for a repair or personal belongings before a departure. State the event behind the deadline and the latest time the package can be accepted. “Urgent” without a receiving time leaves the service requirement unclear.
WTM can assess same-day delivery for a suitable accepted booking. Same-day pickup and same-day arrival remain separate commitments. Ask dispatch to confirm both using the item’s readiness, collection point and destination.
Fort Macleod is not Calgary’s Macleod Trail
Use the full destination town and street address when requesting the quote. Calgary has addresses using Macleod Trail, but a delivery there is not a journey to Fort Macleod. A supplier note containing only “Macleod delivery” is therefore not a complete routing instruction.
If the destination is a rural property outside town, include the actual entrance or agreed meeting point and a reachable contact. Do not direct the driver to a general town centre when the person receiving the package is working elsewhere.
A ready-to-release box makes urgent collection useful
Ask the sender to confirm that the correct item is packed and waiting. Give the order number used at the Calgary collection point. If the seller’s trading address differs from the warehouse holding the goods, supply the warehouse address.
For a small repair component, keep loose accessories with the shipment and identify multiple boxes clearly. State the full packed dimensions and weight. An urgent trip does not remove the need for packaging appropriate to vibration, handling and the shape of the product.
Agree the physical handoff
A front desk, parts counter and workshop entrance may share the same address but involve different people. Name the authorised receiver and describe which point the quote includes. Additional inside handling or waiting should be raised while the job is being arranged.
A useful example request is: “One prepared box is ready at our Calgary supplier. Please collect against order [reference] and deliver to [Fort Macleod address] before [time]. [Name] will accept it at [entrance]. The packed size is [dimensions] and weight is [weight].”

Can I ask for delivery to a home in Fort Macleod?
Yes. Disclose the residential address and receiving arrangement in the request so the quote reflects the actual delivery.
Can the courier buy the item for me?
Arrange the purchase and supplier authorisation yourself unless a different service has been expressly agreed. A collection booking is not automatically a shopping or payment service.
