Use the place name to locate the job, then add the address
Fort McKay is the main spelling used in this guide; a customer may also type “Fort Mackay” while searching. The booking still needs an unambiguous address or approved site location. Do not use “near Fort McMurray” as a substitute for the actual Fort McKay destination.
For a business delivery, identify the receiving department. For a work site, provide the authorised entrance, contact and access process. A driver arriving at a general gate has not necessarily reached the person who can accept the package.
A small box can require dedicated transport
A control component, a prepared tool kit or an original document pack can justify an urgent movement even when it occupies little space. Tell WTM why the arrival time matters and whether a later service is acceptable. That separates a strict deadline from a preference for the earliest economical delivery.
WTM dispatch begins immediately after confirmation of a hotshot booking. The actual collection time depends on the origin and assigned vehicle. Arrival is established for the accepted movement; this page does not turn a general driving estimate into a promised delivery time.
Make the Calgary collection ready for release
Confirm the supplier has picked, packed and authorised the correct item. Provide its release reference and the name used on the order. A payment confirmation or product availability message is not always the same as notification that the package is ready at the collection counter.
State the packed dimensions, weight and number of pieces. Mention fragile contents and any special handling. For a temperature-sensitive item, request the applicable refrigerated service rather than assuming a standard courier vehicle provides it.
Work backwards from the receiving handoff
Ask the receiver when the item must be physically in their control. Include check-in time, any appointment and the distance between the gate and the receiving point when relevant. Have an alternate authorised contact for a shift change, rather than leaving the driver to locate an unknown crew member.

Follow the delivery without confusing location with acceptance
Real-time GPS tracking helps the booking customer follow the shipment. Proof of delivery records the completed handoff. A vehicle near a destination on the map is not itself confirmation that the receiver has accepted the box.

Can a personal box go to a Fort McKay address?
Send the contents, packaging, address and timing for the applicable service. It does not have to be a pallet, but the goods and receiving arrangement still need to be suitable.
