Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · Freight hotshot
WTM Logistics supports after-hours hotshot requests from Calgary to Fort St. John through its dispatch team. When a business needs an urgent part outside ordinary receiving hours, the first job is to secure an authorised release and a ready destination. A direct vehicle is useful only when the goods can actually be collected and accepted.

Get more than an order confirmation
Ask the Calgary supplier who will release the prepared consignment and how collection will work after normal hours. Provide a reachable contact and any agreed access instructions. Stock availability on a website does not establish an after-hours handoff.
Give WTM the package count, dimensions and weight before equipment is assigned. The supplier should confirm the specific items released, including accessories and any substituted part approved by the buyer.
Name a receiver for the actual arrival plan
An FSJ workshop or site may have a duty contact different from its daytime reception. Identify the authorised receiving person, access point and unloading arrangement. Include the local city and date when stating time constraints.
WTM's dispatch availability does not mean every supplier or destination is open around the clock. The shipment plan needs those external arrangements in place, especially when it involves a locked yard or appointment-based intake.
Agree the dedicated service from the real ready time
Describe when the cargo can be handed over and when the receiver needs it. Dispatch confirms the suitable vehicle and transportation commitment. Hotshot is direct, dedicated transport; it is not a promise that any shipment ordered at any hour can arrive the same calendar day.
For a partial order, decide whether the available critical items should leave or whether the full kit must travel together. The purchaser should make that choice before release so the driver is not left waiting for unresolved technical or purchasing decisions.
Keep the decision visible to everyone involved
Approve the quote and payment through the Customer Portal and use real-time GPS tracking to follow the movement. Retain a single transport reference in communications with the supplier and receiver.
After delivery, the POD and invoice remain available with the shipment record. If after-hours orders happen repeatedly, review stock and regular courier arrangements while keeping dedicated hotshot available for genuine breakdowns. WTM can support both the routine movement and the urgent exception without confusing their delivery commitments.
Frequently asked questions
Can WTM arrange an after-hours collection from a closed supplier?
The supplier must authorise and provide a workable release arrangement. Give dispatch the responsible contact and access details.
Does after-hours hotshot guarantee same-day arrival?
No universal arrival applies. WTM confirms the delivery commitment from the actual release time, route and equipment.
