WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Northbound

WTM provides refrigerated courier service for sealed deli and specialty-food orders from Calgary suppliers to Fort McMurray retailers. This is a retail stock movement: identify the packaged products, case allocation and receiving store. It differs from delivering prepared staff meals because the buyer is accepting inventory for its own retail operation.

Make the case contents traceable to the purchase

Give the supplier order reference and the number of outer cases. Keep product identifiers and lot information with the supplier’s paperwork. Where one case contains several retail lines, provide enough information for the buyer to reconcile the order.

WTM’s transport reference can connect the delivery to those business records, but it does not replace product labelling or the retailer’s inventory controls. Keep shipment identity clear without placing unnecessary commercial detail on every external label.

State the product-specific conditions

Tell dispatch the required temperature and any orientation or stacking restrictions. A category label such as “deli” does not establish a single instruction for every item in an order. The supplier should confirm compatibility before grouping products.

Use sealed, transport-ready packages and disclose damaged or leaking containers. Provide dimensions and gross weights for the final load. A refrigerated vehicle is part of the movement, not a substitute for correct preparation by the food business.

Plan the store’s receiving handoff

Identify the goods entrance, authorised contact and window when the retailer can receive and store the order. A shop open to customers may still have limited staff available for incoming stock. Agree the handoff rather than leaving its organisation to the moment of arrival.

If several stores receive allocations, quote the complete stop list. Label each store’s cases before collection. One supplier invoice does not mean there is only one delivery address or one POD requirement.

Develop a repeatable replenishment arrangement

Send WTM the usual release day, case quantities and store windows to discuss recurring courier service. Orders that grow into pallet quantities can be assessed for refrigerated LTL or larger equipment without changing your customer relationship.

Review the quote through the portal and use GPS visibility to coordinate receiving. Keep the issued POD and invoice with the purchase reference. Any required temperature-reporting arrangement should be stated separately. Request delivery for the prepared retail order rather than using a broad description that hides its actual contents.

A customer account built around your deliveries

The WTM Customer Portal supports new shipment requests, quote review and approval, online payments and real-time GPS tracking. Access issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and shipment history through the same account. New customers can request access from admin@wtmlogistics.com.

Save 10% on recurring shipments under the applicable arrangement. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask which offer applies to your quote; the two are not automatically combined.
