WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · Freight hotshot
WTM Logistics can arrange an accepted direct freight hotshot from Calgary to Lloydminster when a shipment misses its planned connection and still has a critical deadline. Start by confirming where the load is physically held and who can release it. A new vehicle assignment is useful only when the consignment can actually be handed over.
Dedicated direct freight · 24/7 dispatch · Equipment matched to the accepted load

Establish the cargo’s current custody
Contact the supplier, warehouse or existing carrier holding the goods. Obtain its collection permission, release reference and available pickup window. An old tracking event or original bill of lading may not identify the current collection point.
Give WTM the authorised contact at that facility. Do not ask the driver to collect a load that the holding business has not agreed to release. Any charges, claim or commercial dispute with the earlier transport arrangement remains a matter for the relevant parties.
Recheck the load before quoting the recovery
The shipment may have been combined, repacked or separated since its original quotation. Confirm the current number of pallets or packages and their measurements and weights. Include any damage or special handling issue that affects accepted transportation.
The receiving deadline also needs to be current. A missed connection may have changed the buyer’s staffing or unloading arrangement. Confirm that direct delivery still reaches a useful window rather than rushing freight to a receiver that can no longer accept it.
Prioritise the freight the business actually needs now
A multi-pallet order may contain one urgently required unit and several items that can follow later. The buyer and holding facility should decide whether a split release is possible and worthwhile. Keep separate references and piece counts for any split consignments.
For illustration, a maintenance order could release one crated replacement directly while the ordinary replenishment stays on its existing arrangement. WTM transports the agreed urgent load; it does not independently rearrange another carrier’s cargo.
Confirm the new service clearly
The hotshot quotation should identify the new pickup, the dedicated movement and the Lloydminster handoff. A recovery booking does not recreate or inherit the earlier carrier’s delivery promise. WTM confirms its own accepted pickup and arrival arrangement.
Use the Customer Portal for approval, payment and GPS tracking, and retain the issued documents under the new shipment reference. Link the POD to your purchase records while keeping any investigation into the missed connection separate.
Recovery transport questions
Can WTM collect from another carrier’s facility?
Yes, when the holding facility authorises release and provides the correct collection details and window.
Can you guarantee recovery before seeing the shipment details?
Dispatch confirms the service after reviewing the current load, release availability, vehicle position and actual receiving deadline.
