A commercial kitchen trial can require a prepared batch to move south for another production team’s review. WTM can arrange refrigerated courier collection in Anzac or Fort McMurray for an identified Calgary kitchen. Make the batch version, transport conditions and receiving contact explicit so the shipment supports the development work without confusing one trial with another.

Identify the version the Calgary team expects

Label sealed containers with the kitchen’s batch or trial reference and the quantity supplied. Keep the producer’s formulation and product records under its own controls. The transport request needs enough identity to deliver the right consignment, not confidential recipe detail.

Distinguish a development batch from a customer meal order or saleable retail stock. That helps the receiver allocate the goods to the correct internal process. WTM transports the accepted consignment; it does not approve the recipe or its intended use.

Quote the true northern collection point

Anzac and Fort McMurray are separate origins for route planning. Give the kitchen address, entrance, release contact and ready time. Do not describe an Anzac collection as a city pickup simply because the destination is Calgary in both cases.

The producer should finish preparation and packaging before collection. State any special container handling or access requirements. A delivery vehicle should not arrive expecting sealed cartons and instead encounter an unfinished batch waiting for packing.

Separate temperature instructions from the experiment

Provide the conditions the producer specifies for transportation. Do not ask the driver to make product-development decisions in transit or select a storage range. Disclose different product groups and any monitoring requirement while obtaining the quote.

List the final dimensions and weights, including reusable containers. Where the Calgary team later returns empty packaging, that is a separate movement that needs its own readiness and contents description. The northbound and southbound services should not be assumed identical.

Leave time for the receiving team’s checks

Give the Calgary goods entrance and the point at which staff need the batch in their control. Delivery just before an internal review may leave no time for their own recording or preparation. The agreed transport commitment should support that workflow.

Use the portal to connect the shipment, approved quote and POD to the trial reference. GPS visibility helps coordinate the handoff; any product or temperature evidence remains a separately defined record. Request the courier once the version, package list and receiving arrangement are settled.

Manage this shipment from request to delivery

Request a shipment, review and approve the quote, and manage the agreed payment in the WTM Customer Portal. Follow active transportation with real-time GPS tracking and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Shipment history keeps previous delivery details within reach.

Frequently asked questions

Does WTM perform food-development testing?

No. WTM provides the agreed transportation; formulation, testing and product decisions remain with the food businesses.

Can Anzac be used as the pickup origin?

Yes. Submit the actual kitchen address and access details so the collection can be quoted separately from a Fort McMurray city pickup.

Arrange your refrigerated shipment with WTM Logistics. Send the actual collection and delivery locations, packed load details and required timing.
