WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound
WTM can arrange Red Deer to Calgary LTL returns of reusable store fixtures after a refit. The retailer should decide which components are being returned, prepare them for transport and obtain the Calgary receiver’s acceptance. A fixture recovery shipment is different from moving new boxed stock: the count, packaging and condition may have changed during removal.
Shared freight capacity · Pallet handling planned in advance · Real-time GPS
Separate reusable assets from disposal material
Identify the items the receiver has authorised for return and give them a clear asset or project reference. Fixtures destined for refurbishment should not be mixed casually with unrelated waste or unapproved damaged material.
WTM transports the accepted consignment; it does not select salvage, decide ownership or guarantee a refurbishment outcome. Resolve those decisions before asking the driver to collect from a store that is still being dismantled.
Make dismantled components into handling units
Secure panels, frames and associated hardware on suitable pallets or in crates. Protect sharp or fragile parts and prevent loose components from escaping their package. Keep fittings with the correct fixture using an internal inventory.
Measure the prepared units and record their weight. A fixture that arrived as one compact carton may occupy several pallets after removal or repacking. The old inbound freight description is not necessarily suitable for the return quote.
Arrange the store’s move-out window
Confirm when the goods will be fully prepared and when loading access is available. A mall or shared building may use an agreed service entrance or loading appointment. Name the person who can release the consignment after contractors have finished.
Describe lifting resources at the Red Deer origin and the Calgary destination. If the stock must be taken from an interior room or down steps before loading, request that additional handling explicitly rather than treating it as part of ordinary pallet pickup.
Keep the receiving warehouse informed
Give the receiver the expected number of handling units and their project reference. Confirm whether it accepts loose fixture stock, crated units or palletised returns under the planned arrangement. A warehouse receiving window should not be inferred from its office opening hours.
Use the POD and invoice to close the transportation task, while the asset team completes its own count and condition assessment. Any missing hardware or fixture selection issue belongs with the prepared shipment inventory, not a generic assumption that the freight receipt verified every item.
Can LTL handle non-stackable fixture pallets?
Submit the dimensions, weight and no-stack restriction for review. The footprint and handling may affect the accepted capacity and quote.
Does the service include dismantling fixtures?
No dismantling is included in an ordinary LTL booking. Have the goods transport-ready or request any additional service separately.
Turn the refit’s return stock into counted, protected freight before arranging the Calgary collection.
