WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound
WTM arranges Red Deer to Calgary LTL freight for prepared commercial orders moving south. A manufacturer, wholesaler or retailer can book shared-capacity transportation for one or more suitable pallets without assuming it needs a full truck. The return-direction quote should be built around its own freight, receiving appointment and handling requirements—not copied from a previous northbound shipment.

Build a dispatch-ready southbound load
Group the goods by receiving order and secure them on suitable transport bases. Count the pallets or crates and record their external dimensions and gross weights. Include packaging and identify any overhang, projections or restrictions on stacking.
A production order marked complete in your system may still need packing or release. Give WTM the time the freight will actually be available at the Red Deer loading point, with a person and equipment ready to hand it over.
Identify the Calgary receiving operation
The destination may be a distribution centre, workshop or customer shop rather than the buyer’s head office. Use the actual goods-delivery address, purchase reference and receiving contact. Ask about booked appointments, unloading equipment and any early intake cutoff.
List separate Calgary delivery addresses separately. A shared commercial customer name does not make multiple branches one freight stop. The quote needs the complete movement and each location’s pallet allocation.
Choose a service that fits the order’s importance
Flexible replenishment is different from a part needed for a fixed repair slot. Request the required delivery window and let WTM confirm the appropriate LTL arrangement. For freight that needs an exclusive direct trip, ask for hotshot or dedicated options instead.
Moving south does not automatically make the rate a discounted backhaul. Compare the service, handling and timing included in the quotation rather than basing a decision on an assumed vehicle already returning empty.
Prepare the record the receiver will use
Keep the transport reference consistent with the order and review the issued BOL for the actual load. The receiver should know the expected number of handling units and who to contact if the delivered count or visible condition differs.
POD and invoice records are available through the WTM Customer Portal as issued. Retain them with your own sales and inventory documents. The transport receipt establishes the handoff; it is not a substitute for checking the individual products inside a wrapped pallet.
Can different pallet sizes travel in one LTL consignment?
Yes, submit the measurements and weights of each handling unit and identify any special restrictions. WTM reviews the complete load for acceptance.
Can WTM deliver to a Calgary business without a dock?
Request the actual offloading requirement. Suitable tailgate or other handling can be assessed using the load and receiving conditions.
Turn your southbound order into a clear pallet specification and receiving plan before booking LTL transport.
Connect the pallets with the paperwork
The WTM Customer Portal brings requests, quotes, approvals and online payments together. Follow active shipments with real-time GPS and find issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and previous freight orders when operations or accounts needs the record.
Regular shippers can ask about 10% off recurring shipments. A prepaid credit account is a separate option with up to 25% off eligible services. The two offers are not automatically combined.
