WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound

WTM can move finished Red Deer fabrications and prepared dealer stock to Calgary by LTL when the order fits shared freight capacity. The load should be stable, protected and identified by receiving order. Manufactured goods with different shapes or support needs should be described as separate handling units rather than reduced to a single total weight.

Define each manufactured unit’s transport profile

Measure the item with its pallet, skid or crate and record the gross weight. Identify projections, exposed finishes and any required orientation. A broad lightweight assembly and a compact heavy unit may need very different placement and handling.

The manufacturer should select suitable packaging and support for the product. WTM assesses the transport arrangement from those prepared details; it should not have to invent a safe base or decide where an unsupported fabrication can be lifted.

Separate orders going to different dealers

Mark each pallet with the Calgary buyer’s order reference and destination. If several units go to the same receiving location, show the complete handling-unit count. If different dealers are receiving, supply each address and appointment requirement.

A mixed load should remain identifiable through the handoff. Keep loose hardware with the correct unit in a secured package rather than expecting the receiver to search across unrelated freight to complete an order.

Check what the dealer can unload

Ask whether the receiving site has the appropriate dock, forklift or other unloading resource. Give WTM any access constraint before quoting. A dealer’s showroom address does not necessarily identify its freight entrance or warehouse.

When the goods need inside placement or special lifting beyond the vehicle handoff, state that requirement explicitly. The appropriate solution may differ from a standard LTL delivery, even when the product is sold through an ordinary retail business.

Choose shared capacity for the right deadline

LTL can suit planned dealer replenishment. A custom fabrication needed for a fixed assembly or installation window may require a more specific appointment or dedicated transport. Explain the deadline before choosing the service rather than relying only on the number of pallets.

Use the WTM shipment reference with the manufacturer’s sales order. After receipt, the POD documents the handoff, while the dealer checks the product and completeness under its own process. Retain the invoice and available BOL with that same order trail.

Can several different fabrication sizes share one consignment?

Yes, submit each prepared unit’s dimensions, weight and restrictions so WTM can review the whole load.

Is oversized machinery automatically LTL?

No. The dimensions, handling and capacity requirements determine suitability. WTM can discuss another freight or dedicated option where appropriate.

Prepare each manufactured unit as a clear freight specification before requesting the southbound quote.

Connect the pallets with the paperwork

The WTM Customer Portal brings requests, quotes, approvals and online payments together. Follow active shipments with real-time GPS and find issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and previous freight orders when operations or accounts needs the record.

For repeat deliveries, WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. Funded account credit separately offers up to 25% off eligible services; the applicable arrangement is shown in your quote.
