WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound
WTM can arrange a Red Deer to Calgary hotshot for a prepared rental-equipment replacement needed at a jobsite or customer facility. The rental company should identify the exact replacement unit and release it in a transport-ready condition. WTM then coordinates the agreed collection and delivery; setup, operation and acceptance of the equipment remain with the rental business and customer.

Separate the replacement from the failed unit
The replacement may need to arrive before the older unit can be removed or packaged. List the two tasks independently: the north-origin replacement travelling south and any return equipment travelling afterwards.
Give each unit its asset number, dimensions and weight. Two machines serving the same purpose are not necessarily the same load. The return may also have a different condition, attachments or packaging that needs to be disclosed.
Have the rental depot complete the release
The depot should prepare the equipment and its accessories under its normal transport procedures. Identify loose hoses, stands or other parts that are included, and secure them appropriately. Report fuels, residual liquids, batteries or other special contents before transport acceptance.
WTM does not assume that every generator, pump or powered unit can move as ordinary freight. The booking is based on the prepared shipment, with the required handling and equipment reviewed before collection.
Book the loading and unloading resources
State what is available at the depot and at the Calgary receiving site. A unit that can be loaded by forklift may still need a different solution where the customer is working. Provide a safe unloading point and any appointment requirement.
If a tailgate is requested, its suitability depends on the unit’s gross weight, footprint and the receiving surface. The vehicle must be chosen around that complete task, not simply around the quickest arrival at the depot.
Use a handoff that keeps the job organised
Name the customer’s authorised representative and identify the site gate or delivery entrance. Give the latest useful arrival time so dispatch can assess the direct movement from the actual release time in Red Deer.
Keep the POD with the rental order. It records the transport handoff, while equipment condition reports, operating instructions and commercial rental terms belong to the rental company and customer. The Customer Portal keeps the shipment quote, invoice and delivery record available for the transport side.
Can WTM exchange the units during one visit?
Request that arrangement with both units’ details and the loading plan. It requires the return to be ready and the handling at the site to be agreed.
Is equipment operation included?
No operation or commissioning is included in an ordinary transport booking. Arrange those responsibilities with the rental company and receiving team.
Give WTM the replacement release and site handoff plan for a direct Calgary equipment delivery.
Keep the urgent delivery visible to your booking team
Review and approve your quote, make the applicable payment and follow the journey with real-time GPS in the WTM Customer Portal. Retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices with the shipment history after the handoff.
Regular shippers can ask about 10% off recurring shipments. A prepaid credit account is a separate option with up to 25% off eligible services. The two offers are not automatically combined.
