WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound

WTM arranges hotshot collections from Olds and Didsbury workshops for urgent repair deliveries to Calgary. A failed unit awaiting specialist attention needs a prepared load and a receiving shop that has agreed to accept it. Dedicated transportation can protect a booked intake window, but the service provider controls its repair schedule and technical turnaround.

Secure the Calgary intake reference

Confirm the repair business’s receiving address and job number. State whether it expects the complete unit, a removed module or a particular accessory set. A driver arriving with more or less than the agreed submission can create another delay at intake.

Give WTM the latest useful receiving time and an authorised contact. The repairer’s retail counter, office and workshop may operate under different hours, so identify the actual point accepting the equipment.

Prepare the unit for transportation

The sender should make the item safe and suitable to move under its own technical procedures. Protect exposed edges and components, secure moving pieces and identify any residual fluids, batteries or other materials that affect acceptance.

Use a stable transport base or suitable packaging. Measure the prepared load and include the crate or pallet in its gross weight. WTM needs this information to select equipment; a model number alone does not describe how a partly dismantled unit will travel.

Plan the workshop collection space

Provide the exact accessible loading point in Olds or Didsbury. State whether staff and equipment will be available to load the item, or whether a compatible tailgate service is requested. Include limited yard space or an entrance unsuitable for a larger vehicle.

For an urgent job, have the shipment ready before confirming collection. A repair crew still disconnecting or disassembling it can change the departure time. Dispatch needs the actual release time to assess the direct trip south.

Treat the repaired return as its own leg

An estimate of repair completion is not a release confirmation. Arrange the return after the shop confirms the item is ready and describe any changed packaging or additional parts. A replacement loan unit can also be quoted with its own dimensions and destination.

Retain separate PODs for each movement with the repair reference. The WTM Customer Portal makes those transport records accessible, while the workshop’s report explains the work performed on the equipment.

Can WTM collect before the workshop’s ordinary courier run?

Request the specific ready time and deadline for an urgent hotshot assessment. The accepted service defines the collection plan.

Is a failed unit handled like new boxed stock?

Not automatically. Describe its actual condition, packaging and contents so suitable handling and equipment can be agreed.

Get the repair intake confirmed, then arrange the direct Calgary journey with WTM.
