WTM Logistics · Hotshot · Northbound
WTM can arrange a hotshot from the Fort Macleod area to a Calgary repairer for a prepared construction attachment or packaged component. This service concerns the detached item being sent for work, not towing the entire machine. Identify the receiving workshop and handling requirements before the transport is confirmed.
Dedicated direct transport · 24/7 dispatch · GPS tracking
Get the repairer’s acceptance and release instructions
Ask the Calgary repairer what it expects, where the item should arrive and which job reference to use. Its workshop entrance may differ from the public sales counter. Confirm the latest receiving time for the intended assessment or repair slot.
At the origin, the owner or competent site team prepares and disconnects the attachment. WTM should collect a released transport-ready load rather than wait for unspecified dismantling. Provide the true ready time after preparation is complete.
Measure the attachment as it will travel
Give packed dimensions, gross weight, supports and protrusions. Explain whether a crate, pallet or other suitable base is being used and how the item will be secured for transport. Protect vulnerable couplings and declare residual fluids or other special conditions.
A compact attachment may still be dense or awkward to load. State the available loading method at the Fort Macleod site and the unloading equipment at the Calgary workshop. Equipment suitability follows those facts, not the urgency label alone.
Choose a receiving point that the vehicle can access
If collection is at a construction site, provide the authorised gate and safe handoff location. Tell dispatch about ground conditions, site check-in and restrictions affecting the vehicle. The town name and contractor name are not enough to identify the load among several active sites.
For illustration, a contractor could have a prepared attachment collected at its yard and delivered to a Calgary repair bay during an accepted intake window. The workshop then controls testing, repair and return readiness. The hotshot does not include or guarantee the repair itself.
Keep the return leg flexible until repair completion
Once the workshop releases the repaired item, obtain updated packaging and dimensions. Replacement parts or additional packaging can change the return load. Book the actual destination, especially when the equipment is needed at a different worksite.
An urgent northbound journey does not force the later leg to use the same service. If timing permits, freight transport can be considered for the return. Each quote should state the loading, delivery and waiting arrangements it includes.
Attachment-repair questions
Can WTM collect a detached item from a rural yard?
Yes. Provide the exact access point, load preparation and handling details for the transport assessment.
Is a tailgate suitable for every attachment?
The item and its loading method determine suitable equipment. WTM confirms the arrangement using the actual dimensions and weight.
