WTM Logistics · Hotshot · Southbound
WTM can arrange a Calgary to Lethbridge hotshot with tailgate-equipped delivery when an urgent crated unit needs a ground-level handoff. The deadline determines the dedicated service; the crate and receiving conditions determine the equipment. Both should be confirmed together, rather than treating a tailgate request as a complete unloading plan.

Give the dimensions that affect handling
Measure the full crate, including its base, skids and protrusions. Provide gross weight and state whether it can be stacked. A product’s uncrated dimensions do not establish how the packaged unit fits the vehicle or lifting platform.
Explain any orientation requirement and whether the base can be handled with the proposed equipment. The loading and unloading arrangement must suit the actual crate. Do not assume a pallet jack can engage every crate or move it over every surface.
Describe the Lethbridge receiving surface
Give the business entrance, space for the vehicle and the condition of the planned unloading area. A firm level hard surface, a sloped driveway and loose gravel present different handling situations. Include steps, thresholds or distances to the final requested placement.
A ground-level handoff is different from inside delivery, unpacking or installing the equipment. State any extra scope while requesting the quote. This lets WTM arrange appropriate resources and gives the receiver a clear understanding of where responsibility transfers.
Connect urgency to a prepared supplier collection
Confirm the Calgary supplier’s release time and loading resources. Give its contact and reference so the driver can collect the correct crate. An urgent customer deadline does not make a unit available before the supplier finishes packing it.
For illustration, a retailer awaiting a replacement crated appliance can identify the receiving doorway and arrange staff before dispatch. WTM quotes the direct trip and agreed unloading, while the retailer’s own contractor manages installation or removal of the old appliance.
Compare the right alternatives
If the deadline allows shared transport, a tailgate LTL arrangement may meet the need without a dedicated run. If the arrival deadline requires exclusive direct movement, hotshot can be evaluated with the same load and site details.
Use one consistent load description when comparing the alternatives. A low transport-only price is not comparable with another quote that includes the specific unloading or waiting work your site needs.
Crated hotshot questions
Does tailgate delivery automatically include bringing the unit indoors?
No. Identify inside-placement requirements explicitly so the accepted quote can define that work.
Can WTM confirm equipment before collection?
Yes. Supply the crate’s full dimensions, weight and receiving details so the appropriate arrangement can be selected.
Follow the urgent movement from quote to delivery
Request your shipment and review the quote through the WTM Customer Portal. Once the booking is confirmed, follow the movement with real-time GPS tracking and find the issued shipment documents and invoice in your account. For immediate dispatch coordination, call the team directly.
Save 10% on recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask WTM which arrangement applies to your quote; the two offers are not combined.
