WTM Logistics · Hotshot · Southbound
WTM provides a Calgary to Coalhurst hotshot option for released electrical contractor supplies needed on a time-sensitive job. A dedicated delivery can bring the prepared kit to the nominated receiver while the crew remains on site. The supplier and contractor specify the equipment; WTM transports the accepted consignment.
Dedicated direct transport · 24/7 dispatch · GPS tracking
Define the kit needed for the current task
Ask the contractor to confirm the order with its supplier before collection. A box of connectors, a packaged control device and a long conduit component have different transport requirements. Give the supplier’s release reference and identify the pieces that are genuinely needed for the immediate work.
For items collected at more than one supplier, request a revised plan that explicitly includes the pickups. Do not advertise a direct one-pickup hotshot and then assume unrelated counter stops can be added without affecting the arrangement.
Match the packaging to the components
Protect fragile housings and exposed connectors, secure long pieces and provide gross weights. Include the outer packaging and supports in measurements. Tell dispatch whether the goods can be stacked or must remain in a particular orientation.
Disclose batteries, aerosols or other items with special transport requirements in the kit. A contractor-supplies order is not automatically an ordinary parcel load simply because many individual items are small.
Give the site receiver a clear appointment
Use the actual Coalhurst-area entrance and a contact with permission to receive. Include gate instructions, access restrictions and the location for unloading. A crew working inside a building may need notice to have someone at the agreed handoff point.
For illustration, a foreperson could nominate one receiver for a labelled kit required before the next installation stage. WTM delivers to that receiver under the accepted plan, while the contractor controls electrical work, safety procedures and internal distribution.
Choose courier for routine stock and hotshot for deadlines
Routine consumables can be planned through courier service. An urgent kit requiring a dedicated movement can be quoted as hotshot. Heavy or palletised materials may require a different vehicle and unloading arrangement even when the customer wants them immediately.
State the latest useful arrival time and the supplier’s ready time. Dispatch begins immediately after confirmation, but the pickup and arrival plan must still match the actual equipment, locations and receiving conditions.
Contractor-delivery questions
Can delivery be made to a worksite outside the town centre?
Yes. Give the exact address or approved access point for review and quotation.
Will the driver verify that the electrical kit is complete or compliant?
The supplier and contractor manage selection and technical checks. WTM counts and transports the declared packages and records the handoff.
