An uncollected store order can become a courier delivery when the customer agrees and the shipment is ready to travel. WTM Logistics helps merchants send prepared orders to authorised customer addresses instead of letting completed purchases occupy collection space indefinitely.

This is a merchant-led change to an existing order, not permission to send goods to an assumed address without speaking to the customer.

Request a courier quote for the waiting order and offer the customer a clear delivery option.

Start with a helpful customer conversation

Contact the customer using your normal order process. Confirm that they still want the goods and ask whether delivery would solve the collection problem.

For illustration, a customer may have purchased a boxed item but no longer be able to visit the shop during opening hours. The merchant can offer a quoted delivery rather than simply repeating collection reminders. Agree the service and any customer charge before releasing the package.

Verify the address rather than copying billing details

Ask for the actual delivery address, unit number, recipient contact and receiving availability. A billing address or old account address may not be where the customer wants this order delivered.

For apartment customers, confirm the authorised entrance and whether reception may accept the parcel. Our apartment-delivery instruction guide provides a practical receiving checklist.

Prepare the goods for transportation

A bag waiting behind a collection counter may need additional packaging before it can travel. Check the contents against the order, secure them appropriately and label every packed piece.

Provide WTM with the final dimensions, weight and number of parcels. Identify fragile, bulky or temperature-sensitive contents so the quote describes the real shipment rather than the original retail item listing.

Keep the order status clear inside the store

Once delivery is agreed, tell staff that the order is assigned to courier collection. Keep it in the designated release area with the correct reference.

Avoid having one employee release it to a customer while another arranges a courier for the same package. Your store manages the sales record and any delivery charge; WTM handles the authorised transport booking.

Give the customer the confirmed delivery arrangement

Tell the recipient the agreed service and how they should receive the order. Do not promise a delivery time before WTM has confirmed the booking against the package-ready time and destination.

Use the WTM Customer Portal to request transportation, approve the quote and pay online. Follow live GPS tracking and retrieve available PODs and invoices with shipment history.

For retailers who regularly convert store collections into delivery, 10% off recurring shipments can support an ongoing arrangement. Keep the customer’s consent and delivery instructions specific to each order.

Can delivery be offered for just one waiting order?

Yes. Request a quote for that package and address rather than assuming you need a large shipment volume to ask about courier service.

Is the delivery free because the customer already paid for the goods?

The merchant decides the customer-facing charge. Confirm it with the customer before booking transportation.
