WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound

WTM can arrange temperature-controlled delivery of prepared chocolate and confectionery orders from Red Deer to Calgary. The producer’s instructions should define the required transport conditions: temperature-sensitive does not automatically mean frozen or standard refrigeration. Plan around the finished product, its packaging and the retailer’s receiving arrangements so presentation is protected as well as the order count.

Use the producer’s condition specification

Ask the producer to state the acceptable transport range and any instructions concerning humidity, condensation or changes in environment. Do not substitute a generic food-delivery temperature for the product’s own requirement.

Explain whether the order contains solid confectionery, filled products or another item with different handling needs. Products grouped in a gift collection may still need their requirements assessed individually before a shared transport arrangement is accepted.

Pack for a retail-ready handoff

Decorative cartons are often designed for display rather than as the only transport protection. Use suitable outer cases and supports, as specified by the producer, to prevent finished packs from shifting or being compressed. Identify upright displays or cases that cannot support weight.

Provide outer dimensions, gross weight and carton count. A light but fragile display assembly can require more space than its weight suggests. WTM can assess the equipment from that complete description instead of choosing a vehicle from a short product name.

Set the Calgary receiver’s responsibilities

Name the person or department accepting the goods and provide the appropriate entrance. The receiver should know the product’s handling instructions after unloading. A temperature-controlled trip cannot substitute for suitable receiving and storage at the destination.

For several stores, label each allocation and supply all stop details. Avoid opening or sorting customer gifts at the curb; the producer should prepare the consignments so the courier can hand over identified packages.

Plan seasonal or launch orders early

A retail promotion may have a fixed shelf date. Give WTM the transport-ready date and latest receiving time, leaving the business to plan any presentation or display work after delivery. An arrival target for transportation is not the same as the time a promotion starts.

Use shipment history to plan subsequent orders, but update package counts, product instructions and destinations. Discuss a recurring service when deliveries become predictable, with the applicable saving shown in the quote rather than assumed from the first shipment.

Does chocolate need a refrigerated truck?

The producer’s product-specific instructions determine the required conditions. Submit those instructions so WTM can confirm a suitable temperature-controlled arrangement.

Can gift packs go straight to corporate recipients?

Request each delivery address and receiving window. Confirm that the recipient can accept and handle the product as instructed, not merely that someone will be in the building.

Give WTM the confectionery specification and destination list for a transport plan that fits the finished product.

Keep the cold-delivery request and records together

Use the WTM Customer Portal for your request, quote approval, payment and shipment history. Real-time GPS shows the movement; issued BOLs, PODs and invoices remain with the shipment. Product-specific temperature reporting is a separate requirement to agree in the booking.

For repeat deliveries, WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. Funded account credit separately offers up to 25% off eligible services; the applicable arrangement is shown in your quote.
