When several parcels travel to one business address, book the complete outer-package count and identify each piece. One destination does not automatically mean one package, and one order number does not tell the receiver how many cartons should arrive.
WTM Logistics can collect prepared multi-piece business shipments and deliver them to the agreed receiving point. Request a courier quote with the number, dimensions and weights of the packages.
Number the outer packages in a clear sequence, such as “1 of 4” through “4 of 4,” with the same shipment reference. Keep the destination and business name readable on every piece.
Count what the driver will physically receive. Four cartons held together only by sitting beside one another are still four pieces. A properly prepared transport unit should be described according to how it will actually be handled.
When one package contains accessories for another, identify the relationship in the packing list. Do not expect an external carton count to explain the contents of each box.
A delivery containing three small cartons and one long package should not be quoted as four identical boxes. Supply the measurements and weight of each package type.
Describe fragile, upright or special-handling requirements before collection. This lets WTM match the vehicle and delivery arrangement to the whole shipment rather than discover an outlier at pickup.
A change in packing can change the count. Update the request when the warehouse divides a heavy carton into two or combines loose parts into a protective case.
A large business may receive goods for several teams at one location. Include the department, purchase-order reference and authorised receiver so the parcels stay connected after they enter the building.
For example, an installation kit could include two equipment cartons, a cable carton and printed instructions. A receiving note identifying four packages helps the team distinguish a complete handoff from a box still waiting elsewhere.
Where the receiver needs an appointment or a loading-bay delivery, include those instructions in the original booking.
Use the WTM Customer Portal to request the movement, approve the quote and follow the shipment. After delivery, retrieve available proof of delivery and invoice records.
The receiver should compare the outer-package count with the delivery information and report discrepancies promptly. A signed handoff is useful evidence of delivery; detailed contents should still be checked against the sender’s packing list.
Describe the full movement to WTM as one multi-piece shipment when the pieces share the same pickup, destination and delivery requirement. Separately identify any package needing a different service or release time.
