Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · Courier
WTM Logistics provides courier collection in Fort St. John for physical parts samples going to Calgary workshops, suppliers and technical buyers. When a photograph or drawing does not answer a fit question, a prepared reference piece can travel with the job information the recipient needs. The shipment is a transport task, not an engineering assessment.

Explain what the reference piece is for
Tell the receiving business whether it is measuring a worn component, checking a replacement pattern or preparing a quotation. Include the work-order reference outside the package and place the detailed instructions with the consignment.
The courier should not need to interpret the technical problem. Ask the FSJ sender to identify the exact part being released, especially when several similar pieces are stored together. A written description and a labelled package are more dependable than “the item discussed on the phone.”
Prepare an item that can be handled as a parcel
Cover sharp edges, secure movable pieces and use packaging appropriate to the weight. A small-looking steel component can be much heavier than an ordinary boxed order. Provide the gross packed weight and external dimensions so the vehicle and handling can be matched.
Disclose residues and any remaining fluids. Do not hand over an unidentified leaking component as a standard courier box. A prepared sample should arrive in a condition the Calgary workshop has agreed to receive.
Arrange receipt with the right department
A parts counter may receive purchases but not technical samples. Confirm the receiving department and the contact managing the job. Include business hours and the full address, even when the company also has a separate sales office in Calgary.
Decide how the workshop should return the piece after assessment. It may be retained, sent back with a quotation, or included with the finished replacement. Those are different instructions and should not be left for the driver to settle.
Use courier for the assessment stage, hotshot for the deadline
A planned measurement or quotation can often be organised as a normal courier movement. When equipment cannot resume work without the assessed component, tell WTM the operational deadline and request the appropriate direct service.
Through the Customer Portal, approve the transportation quote, track the movement and retrieve the delivery record. The POD confirms the handoff to the workshop; it does not certify the workshop's measurements or acceptance of the repair job. Keep those technical decisions with the parties responsible for them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send a used reference part?
Yes, when it is prepared for transport and its contents, condition and any special handling are disclosed and accepted.
Does delivery mean the workshop has approved the repair?
No. Delivery records the handoff. Assessment, quotations and repair approval remain separate decisions between you and the workshop.
Move from a quote to a trackable shipment
The WTM Customer Portal brings shipment requests, quote approval and online payment together. Use live GPS tracking during transport and retrieve the issued BOL, POD and invoice afterwards. Your history gives repeat shipments a useful reference.
WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Confirm the applicable offer with your quote; the two offers are not automatically combined.
