Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · Courier

WTM Logistics moves prepared survey-crew supplies from Calgary to Fort St. John, helping businesses replenish field books, marking accessories and other suitable boxed items. Book the courier around the crew's next planned issue of supplies, with the order identified by project and receiver rather than simply marked “survey equipment.”

Separate ordinary supplies from specialist instruments

An order of field notebooks, stakes, mounting accessories and stationery differs from a high-value measuring instrument. List the contents and packed sizes so dispatch can assess the actual handling requirement. Disclose liquids, batteries or other items with special transport conditions rather than leaving them under a general supplies label.

For fragile instruments, provide the case dimensions and the supplier's handling instructions. The courier moves the prepared case; it does not recalibrate equipment, check measurement accuracy or decide whether a device is ready for field use.

Make the project reference usable

Include the purchasing reference and the name of the person receiving the kit in FSJ. When several crews work for the same company, label each package with its project or issue reference. This helps the yard team send the right box to the right crew after delivery.

For example, two boxes for one contractor might belong to different jobs. Recording “Project A: two notebooks and accessories” and “Project B: replacement mounts” in the customer's own issue list prevents an identical-looking carton from being assigned by guesswork.

Decide whether the handoff is at a yard or a worksite

A business yard gives the crew a central collection point. Direct worksite delivery needs the actual access instructions and an authorised receiver. Specify the meeting location and any check-in arrangement; the head-office address does not describe a remote field entrance.

Plan around when the receiver can unload and take custody. If the crew has moved, update the destination before dispatch rather than asking a driver already on the route to locate an unknown work party.

Build a replenishment routine

Review which consumables are repeatedly running low and combine the ready supplies into a planned courier request. Keep critical shortages separate from ordinary replenishment so the service matches the deadline.

WTM supports recurring shipments, online quote approval and real-time GPS tracking through the Customer Portal. Retain the POD against the project reference and keep the invoice accessible for the purchasing team. That creates an orderly record of transportation while your business remains responsible for issuing and maintaining its field equipment.
