Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · LTL

WTM Logistics transports suitable surplus project stock and unused parts from Fort St. John to Calgary by LTL freight. Moving prepared inventory back to a central location can support the next job without treating every remaining pallet as an urgent return. Start by separating company-owned stock from supplier returns, rental equipment and material awaiting another decision.

Establish ownership and destination

Confirm which items are released for the Calgary stock transfer and where they should be received. A central warehouse, project office and supplier return department are different destinations. Use the appropriate internal transfer reference rather than one general label for every item leaving the site.

The owner should decide what is worth retaining, returning or disposing of. WTM moves the accepted consignment; the transport booking is not an inventory valuation or an instruction to dispose of unused material.

Build a transport list from the final packing

Record pallets, crates and separate cartons, with external dimensions and gross weights. Secure loose parts and identify packages whose contents need protection. The final packed load may differ considerably from the original inbound delivery.

Declare any special contents or conditions. Items that look like ordinary unopened supplies may still have transportation requirements. Use a precise product description rather than “mixed site leftovers” as the shipment specification.

Use LTL when the stock can follow the agreed freight schedule

Provide the release date and the Calgary warehouse's receiving window. Shared freight may suit prepared stock with a flexible need date. When a specific component is required immediately for another project, separate that item for a dedicated-service quotation.

Confirm loading and unloading equipment at both ends. A yard nearing project closeout may no longer have the same forklift or staffing available as when the material originally arrived. The return plan must reflect current conditions.

Reconcile the shipment with the stock transfer

Approve the quote and payment through the Customer Portal, follow real-time GPS tracking and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Use the same transfer reference in your inventory system so the warehouse can identify the arriving units.

The receiver should check the internal contents and quantities against the owner's list. A transport piece count is not a substitute for a stocktake. Keeping those records connected makes the return useful for future purchasing without confusing the freight handoff with inventory acceptance.

Frequently asked questions

Can unused company stock be sent without a supplier return reference?

Yes. Use the owner’s internal transfer authority and the correct Calgary receiving details; supplier returns are a separate case.

Can one urgent part be sent ahead of the LTL stock?

Yes. Identify it separately and request the appropriate dedicated transport for its deadline.

Move from a quote to a trackable shipment

The WTM Customer Portal brings shipment requests, quote approval and online payment together. Use live GPS tracking during transport and retrieve the issued BOL, POD and invoice afterwards. Your history gives repeat shipments a useful reference.

WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Confirm the applicable offer with your quote; the two offers are not automatically combined.
