WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Southbound
Return rented test equipment from Fort McMurray to its Calgary supplier with a courier booking tied to the hire reference and case inventory. WTM collects transport-ready instrument cases and boxed accessories for the agreed receiving address. The objective is a documented handoff—not a vague record that “some equipment” was sent south.

Close the equipment list before closing the cases
Match the serial numbers to the rental schedule. Check detachable probes, leads, adapters and chargers against the supplier’s return list. Put loose accessories in the designated compartments or separately labelled packages rather than allowing them to move freely.
The transport count should reflect the physical cases and cartons. List a large protective case individually with its packed weight. Photographs of the closed cases and a retained contents list can help your own team reconstruct what was prepared for collection.
Confirm where the rental supplier receives returns
The supplier’s sales office may not be its return-processing address. Obtain the workshop or warehouse entrance, receiving hours and off-hire reference. Ask the supplier what records it requires to recognise arrival against the rental account.
Courier delivery does not itself decide when the supplier stops charging rent. That is part of your hire agreement. Giving WTM the receiving deadline helps you choose transport, but it does not replace the supplier’s acceptance process.
Describe handling needs without making assumptions
State whether the equipment must remain upright, is fragile or contains batteries. Include the manufacturer’s transport instructions when they matter. A protective case helps organise the load but does not make every instrument immune to movement or temperature changes.
Have the project team prepare equipment for transportation before collection. WTM is not being booked to decontaminate, disconnect or certify instruments. Any unusual condition needs to be disclosed and resolved in the accepted transport plan.
Use the right urgency for the return
A planned project closeout can use a scheduled courier arrangement. A confirmed workshop slot or time-sensitive hire return may justify direct hotshot service. Larger crates or several heavy cases may suit LTL rather than parcel handling.
Record the hire reference in the WTM Customer Portal, follow the shipment with GPS and match the POD to the receiving supplier. Keep the rental inspection and the transport receipt as separate records. Request collection once the cases, accessories and receiving instructions are complete.
Manage this shipment from request to delivery
Request a shipment, review and approve the quote, and manage the agreed payment in the WTM Customer Portal. Follow active transportation with real-time GPS tracking and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Shipment history keeps previous delivery details within reach.
