WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Southbound
When a hydraulic pump or drive core must reach a Calgary repair or exchange supplier promptly, WTM can arrange a hotshot from Fort McMurray. Obtain the return authorisation and prepare the component for transport before dispatch. The delivery can support a supplier deadline, but the supplier—not the carrier—decides inspection results and any core credit.

Make the return reference specific to the unit
Confirm which component the supplier expects, including serial or assembly identifiers where applicable. Use that reference on the protective package and transport request. Similar-looking cores can belong to different customer accounts or exchange agreements.
Ask the supplier what accessories should travel with the core and what must stay with the customer. Do not include unrelated loose parts simply because there is room in the crate. An accurate return inventory reduces confusion at workshop receiving.
Arrange preparation by the responsible owner
Disclose residual fluids and any other special transport condition. The owner should complete the preparation required for the accepted movement and secure the unit against movement within the package. WTM is not booked to decontaminate or dismantle it.
List the packed weight and full dimensions, including the skid or cradle. A small hydraulic unit can be heavy and awkward to lift. State the actual loading and unloading equipment, not a guess based on the apparent size of the component.
Match the pickup to the supplier’s deadline
Confirm the Calgary return entrance, authorised receiver and closing time. If a core-return deadline is important, discuss it with the supplier and give dispatch the required delivery milestone. A courier booking does not alter commercial terms between buyer and supplier.
A dedicated hotshot may be appropriate for an urgent deadline. When the return is flexible, ask whether palletised LTL is a better fit. Urgency and preparation should be assessed separately; an unsafe or unready package is not made ready by calling the job a hotshot.
Keep transport proof with the return account
Track the movement through the WTM Customer Portal and retain the POD against the core reference. Keep the supplier’s condition report and any credit note separately. Each document describes a different part of the transaction.
Send WTM the prepared core specifications, release location and supplier receiving deadline to obtain the appropriate southbound quote. The clearer those details, the more directly dispatch can organise the required movement.
Make repeat shipments easier to organise
Keep requests, approved quotes, online payments and historical shipments together in the WTM Customer Portal. Follow deliveries with real-time GPS tracking and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices when needed. New customers can request an account invitation from admin@wtmlogistics.com.
