WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Northbound
WTM arranges enclosed hotshot transportation of prepared PLC, control-panel and automation orders from Calgary to Fort McMurray. Identify the complete hardware package and the receiving technician’s deadline. Dedicated transport keeps the urgent shipment separate from routine consolidation, while a clear packaging and handling specification helps match the load to suitable equipment.

Confirm the correct hardware configuration
Have the purchaser and supplier verify the model, revision and associated components. Keep engineering or configuration approval with those businesses. WTM transports the supplied equipment; it does not select substitute parts or confirm that a control panel will operate the plant.
Label each package with the work-order or equipment reference. List mounting hardware, connectors and accessories that travel separately. A missing connector can be easy to overlook when the main cabinet has already been packed.
Protect the packed assembly, not just its surface
Use packaging specified for the equipment and secure loose internal or external parts before collection. State whether the crate must remain upright and whether anything may be stacked above it. Include protrusions in the final measurements.
Enclosed transport addresses exposure to the outside environment, but it does not automatically establish a temperature-controlled service. If the equipment has specific environmental requirements, provide them when requesting the quote.
Check loading and unloading before release
Give gross weight, lifting requirements and the equipment available at both ends. A tall cabinet may fit the vehicle’s internal space but not its usable door opening. Dispatch needs the complete crated dimensions to assess that fit.
For a receiver without a dock or forklift, identify the ground-level handling requirement in advance. Tailgate suitability depends on the actual load and assigned equipment, not simply whether the shipment is described as electronics.
Tie the delivery to the technician’s plan
Give the approved receiving point and contact who can accept the equipment. Transportation should support the installation team’s schedule without claiming to guarantee commissioning or plant restart.
Use the portal to approve the quotation, follow the direct movement with GPS and retrieve the POD. Retain the delivery record with the work-order reference. Request the hotshot once the correct configuration, protective packaging and receiving arrangement are confirmed.
Keep the receiving team and accounts connected
Use the WTM Customer Portal to manage the request, quote approval and online payment. GPS visibility supports receiving coordination, while issued BOLs, PODs and invoices provide records for operations and accounts. Access previous shipments without rebuilding the history through email.
