WTM Logistics · Refrigerated · Northbound
WTM provides a refrigerated shipping option for specialty food producers arranging Fort Macleod-area collections for Calgary buyers. Send packed, identified orders to the receiving business without committing a producer’s own vehicle and staff to the round trip. The quote connects the true collection address, product requirements and Calgary receiving window.

Describe where the finished order is released
A producer may dispatch from a shop, a separate preparation unit or a rural property. Provide the entrance used for collection, an authorised contact and any access instructions. Finish the business’s own packing and release steps before the agreed pickup window.
Tell WTM what it will collect in transport units: cartons, trays inside protective containers, covered crates or pallets. Include outside dimensions and gross weight. This gives dispatch a real load description rather than a retail product list that cannot establish vehicle capacity.
Distinguish the product groups
Specify each product’s required transport conditions. If an order includes chilled, frozen and ambient items, separate those requirements in the request. Sharing one supplier does not automatically make all products suitable for one temperature arrangement.
The CFIA food-safety programme guidance addresses food conveyances and protection during loading. Use the producer’s instructions to define handling, and disclose any records requested by the Calgary buyer before acceptance.
Give the receiving buyer an arrival plan
Use the buyer’s actual storage or goods-receiving address. An order for a restaurant group might go to one nominated kitchen rather than every public location. For several Calgary receivers, provide the complete stop list and identify which packages belong at each address.
For illustration, a producer could prepare a trial order for one retailer and a separate order for a catering buyer. Both can be assessed together as a proposed distribution movement, but their different receiving windows must be included rather than added after collection.
Build a recurring pattern around real volumes
Record the typical package count and any seasonal variation. A consistent northbound requirement can be discussed as recurring shipping, while an unusually large pallet order may need a different equipment allocation. Changes in the load should reach dispatch before the next run.
WTM’s portal keeps quote decisions, payment and issued shipment documents accessible. Refer to earlier deliveries to prepare the next request, while checking the current addresses, quantities and conditions. Past records help planning; they do not replace the details of the new shipment.
Producer-pickup questions
Can the pickup be outside Fort Macleod’s town centre?
Yes. Give the exact location and access information so WTM can quote the real collection.
Can the Calgary buyer book the delivery?
Yes. Confirm the producer’s release authorisation and identify the buyer as the booking customer.
Keep the cold-shipment instructions with the request
Use the WTM Customer Portal to submit the load and required conditions, approve your quote and make payment. Follow shipment location with real-time GPS tracking and access issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and history. Any temperature-reporting requirement is agreed separately; location tracking is not a temperature record.
Save 10% on recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask WTM which arrangement applies to your quote; the two offers are not combined.
Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request an invitation at admin@wtmlogistics.com.
Book the shipment your business needs moved. Send WTM the route, packed load and required timing for a service-specific quote.
