Preparing a batch of online orders for courier pickup means making every parcel identifiable before the driver arrives. WTM Logistics needs the correct destinations, package counts and collection details so a group of customer orders becomes an organised handoff—not an unlabelled pile beside the door.
A batch collection can contain many deliveries. One pickup address does not mean every package belongs to one shipment or receiver.
Use a simple record linking each customer order with its destination and package count. Keep it consistent with the labels on the physical boxes.
A useful example looks like this:
| Order | Receiver | Outer packages | Identification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example A | First customer | 1 | A — 1 of 1 |
| Example B | Second customer | 2 | B — 1 of 2; B — 2 of 2 |
| Example C | Third customer | 1 | C — 1 of 1 |
The handover totals four packages and three destination orders. These are illustrative references, not actual customer shipments.
Measure and weigh the finished packages, then confirm the total ready for collection. Keep incomplete orders outside the pickup group so they cannot be mistaken for released parcels.
Check that each shipping address is the intended destination rather than a billing address. Include receiving instructions, business hours and contact details where needed.
Do not assume a spreadsheet uploads into the WTM portal or automatically creates shipments. Use your list as a preparation and checking tool, then follow the booking process agreed with WTM.
Nominate a staff member who knows which packages are ready. Where the handoff is at a retail counter, keep courier parcels clearly separated from customer pickup orders.
Before the driver arrives, send WTM the collection requirements and confirm how the destinations are being booked. Update the request when a package is added, removed or sent to a different address.
Check the released outer package count against the prepared list. Record any order held back rather than assuming it travelled with the rest.
The supplier or merchant remains responsible for verifying contents. The handoff list connects outer parcels with orders; it is not a request for the driver to inspect every product inside them.
Use the WTM Customer Portal for quotes, approvals, payments and shipment progress. Retrieve delivery records and invoices for the corresponding movements.
Recurring batch collections can be discussed under WTM’s 10% recurring-shipment offer. For the store-to-portal process, see our manual Shopify and WooCommerce booking guide.
Tell WTM before adding it. Its destination, packed details and service need to be included in the agreed transport arrangement.
