Columbia Valley Shipping: Invermere, Canal Flats, Fairmont and Panorama
Keep your Columbia Valley business supplied from Calgary and Edmonton. WTM offers next-day courier and LTL with a daily 12:00 noon pickup cutoff, including return shipments. Request a quote for Invermere, Canal Flats, Fairmont Hot Springs or Panorama, or ask about urgent hotshot transport.
Invermere: stock replenishment and commercial receiving
For store stock or business equipment, identify the Invermere goods entrance, contact and receiving hours. State whether cartons can be hand-carried at the agreed handoff or whether pallets need a dock, forklift or assessed tailgate service.
If several purchase orders travel together, label packages so the receiver can reconcile them. Keep any urgent missing item separate in the request; it may need a different collection arrangement from the next planned replenishment order.
Canal Flats: contractor loads and prepared components
For a Canal Flats contractor or business, provide the full outside dimensions and gross weight of each skid, crate or long piece. Include its support frame and explain any non-stackable requirement. The number of pallets alone does not describe the vehicle space needed.
Name the actual yard and who provides unloading equipment. If the shipment is going onward after delivery, establish whether WTM is quoting that further handoff or delivery only to the named receiver.
Fairmont Hot Springs: plan deliveries around available staff
For hospitality or commercial supplies in Fairmont Hot Springs, use the designated receiving location and a contact who can accept the order. An office or guest entrance may not suit pallet unloading. Give the relevant appointment and available handling resources.
Separate normal replenishment from time-critical replacement equipment. Installation, unpacking and movement into a building need explicit arrangements; they are not inferred from a freight delivery address.
Panorama: confirm the property and goods entrance
For a Panorama shipment, include the specific property, receiving entrance and any vehicle or access restriction. Identify whether freight is being received at an agreed staging point or at the final property. Dispatch needs that distinction before confirming equipment.
Provide a phone contact and receiving window, particularly when the delivery supports a maintenance visit. For Alberta-bound repair returns, confirm the item has been prepared and released, rather than booking against an unfinished removal or inspection.
Calgary and Edmonton connections are separate bookings
Provide the actual Alberta supplier location and release reference. A Calgary collection does not include a second Edmonton supplier unless it is part of the quote. On return trips, give the correct branch and department receiving the goods.
Use DriveBC for current road information. The final route, appointment and accepted unloading method are confirmed with the freight booking.
Courier, LTL or hotshot for this order?
- Courier: commercial cartons and smaller prepared items, with the agreed handoff and package details.
- LTL: suitable pallets or crates sharing capacity. Quote every unit’s footprint, gross weight and stackability.
- Hotshot: urgent freight needing dedicated transport, assessed against the real ready time and deadline.
Tailgate handling, inside placement and temperature control are separate requirements to state before quotation. Enclosed transport alone does not establish refrigeration or freeze protection.
A practical booking example
An Invermere retailer has palletised stock ready in Edmonton, while a Panorama property needs a replacement part from Calgary for a planned maintenance visit. Send the two deadlines and receiving arrangements so WTM can compare normal next-day service with any dedicated requirement.
How do I book the return trip?
Use the actual BC pickup and Alberta receiving addresses. Include the supplier’s return reference, current packaging and ready time. A replacement and a returned item need separate load descriptions; request any waiting or coordinated exchange in the quote.
Can I arrange repeat deliveries?
Yes—send the normal locations, expected load sizes, release days and receiving hours for review. Agree how backorders, extra stops and urgent exceptions will be handled. Confirm each order’s current details before collection.
