WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Northbound

WTM arranges Calgary to Red Deer frozen seafood courier delivery for prepared restaurant and foodservice orders. The supplier should release transport-ready frozen packages with clear instructions, and the kitchen should be ready to receive them into appropriate storage. Specify the frozen service in the booking rather than treating the order as an ordinary food parcel.

Identify the product state the buyer is ordering

Frozen and chilled seafood orders need different transport instructions. List the product groups and the required conditions supplied by the food business. A mixed purchase order is not proof that all its contents can travel at the same setting.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s conveyance guidance emphasises transport conditions appropriate for the food and recording where necessary. The practical booking step is to communicate the actual requirement and agree the needed equipment and records before pickup.

Make packages ready for movement

Use closed, suitably protected cases according to the supplier’s handling process. Describe any leak-resistant outer packaging, orientation requirements and cases that should not be stacked. Do not rely on a driver to repackage an order at the dispatch door.

Measure the complete cases and provide their gross weight. Several compact boxes may fit refrigerated courier capacity; larger palletised orders should be discussed as refrigerated freight with an appropriate loading and unloading plan.

Deliver to the receiving team, not the dining room

Give the restaurant’s goods entrance, a reachable receiving contact and the time window for intake. A kitchen in the middle of service may need a more specific handoff than a delivery to the front counter.

If more than one restaurant is receiving, identify every stop and allocation. The route must account for those handoffs. Describe a hard receiving deadline separately from a preferred arrival so the transport plan is built around what is actually required.

Keep transport and food acceptance records connected

The supplier and restaurant should retain their product identity and acceptance information. WTM’s delivery record identifies the transportation handoff. Where temperature records are required, establish what will be provided as part of the confirmed service.

Live GPS helps the booking customer follow the shipment’s location. It does not establish the product’s internal temperature or authorise a buyer to accept a consignment against its own food-safety procedure.

Can frozen seafood share a run with chilled dairy?

Only under a suitable, agreed arrangement for the different conditions and handling requirements. Do not assume an ordinary single-temperature load can meet both instructions.

Can WTM collect directly from the seafood supplier?

Yes. Provide the supplier’s release reference, ready time, package details and transport instructions, plus the restaurant’s receiving requirements.

Book the frozen shipment as a complete cold-delivery task from supplier release to kitchen receipt.

Keep the cold-delivery request and records together

Use the WTM Customer Portal for your request, quote approval, payment and shipment history. Real-time GPS shows the movement; issued BOLs, PODs and invoices remain with the shipment. Product-specific temperature reporting is a separate requirement to agree in the booking.

Fund your shipping account for up to 25% off eligible services, or discuss the separate 10% recurring-shipment offer for a regular delivery arrangement.
