WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Northbound

WTM can arrange temperature-controlled courier delivery of cut flower orders from Calgary suppliers to Red Deer florists. The supplier’s handling instructions, package orientation and the florist’s receiving time should guide the booking. A commercial flower shipment is a prepared transport order; arranging bouquets, replacing damaged stems or setting up a display remains with the flower businesses.

Start with the flower groups and supplier instructions

Different flower products and prepared arrangements can need different conditions. Ask the supplier for the transport range and any instructions for humidity, packaging or separation. A request labelled only “flowers” does not describe those requirements adequately.

Identify whether the shipment consists of closed cartons, upright containers or finished arrangements in supports. Any liquid-containing packaging needs to be described so the transport team can review the appropriate handling before collection.

Give fragile packages their actual space

Measure the outer load, including supports and projecting protection. Tell WTM which pieces cannot have other goods placed above them. Light flowers in tall packaging may occupy more usable space than their weight suggests.

The supplier should secure the consignment for movement. Labels such as “this way up” help communicate the intended orientation, but they do not replace internal supports or a suitable transport container. Keep the flower order references attached to the right packages.

Plan the florist’s intake before its customer deadlines

The delivery may need to arrive before the florist starts preparing retail orders. Give the required receiving time rather than only the time an event or customer collection begins. The florist needs its own preparation interval after the transport handoff.

For recurring supply, share the usual release and receiving windows. WTM can assess a planned service and the appropriate refrigerated or temperature-controlled equipment. An unexpected urgent order should be quoted with its own deadline rather than automatically added to a fixed run.

Make a multi-shop delivery unambiguous

If more than one florist is receiving, specify the allocations, addresses and contacts. Distinguish a delivery to a wholesaler from several direct shop drops. A driver should not need to divide unlabelled stock on arrival.

After delivery, the florist should perform its own product checks. The POD records the handoff and can be kept with the purchase order. Live GPS helps your booking team follow the shipment but does not replace product-condition monitoring or acceptance records.

Can WTM deliver finished floral arrangements?

Submit the prepared arrangement’s dimensions, supports, orientation and condition requirements. WTM confirms the appropriate equipment and handoff for that actual load.

Are all flower orders refrigerated in the same way?

No. Use the supplier’s product-specific instructions so the required conditions can be agreed rather than assumed.

Give WTM the flower order and receiving deadline so the florist can concentrate on preparing the customer’s arrangement.

Keep the cold-delivery request and records together

Use the WTM Customer Portal for your request, quote approval, payment and shipment history. Real-time GPS shows the movement; issued BOLs, PODs and invoices remain with the shipment. Product-specific temperature reporting is a separate requirement to agree in the booking.

For repeat deliveries, WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. Funded account credit separately offers up to 25% off eligible services; the applicable arrangement is shown in your quote.
