WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Northbound
WTM can assess after-hours hotshot delivery from Calgary to Red Deer industrial yards when urgent freight cannot wait for the next routine run. A successful late delivery requires an authorised pickup, accessible receiving gate and someone ready to take control of the load. Around-the-clock dispatch availability does not by itself open a closed supplier or an unattended yard.
Dedicated direct transport · Dispatch immediately after confirmation · Real-time GPS
Secure the supplier’s release before closing
Ask the supplier who can release the order at the requested time. Use its approved arrangement rather than assuming goods will be left outside or that the courier can obtain access independently.
Confirm the complete packed load and its ready time. If the order is still being assembled, tell dispatch when collection can actually begin. The transport plan should not depend on a closed business completing work after its staff have left.
Name an on-duty receiving contact
Provide the Red Deer facility’s authorised gate, receiving entrance and contact who will be present. State any visitor procedure, safety induction or access restriction that affects the handoff. A driver should not be expected to bypass security to meet a delivery time.
If the main office will be closed, identify the agreed alternate receiving point. “Someone will be there” is less useful than a named person with a working number and permission to accept the shipment.
Arrange unloading before the truck arrives
A forklift available during the day may not have an authorised operator at night. Confirm the after-hours resources and a suitable offloading location. If the job needs a compatible tailgate service or additional handling, include it in the quote.
Lighting, turning space and the condition of the unloading area can affect the practical arrangement. Disclose these constraints rather than treating them as minor details after dispatch has assigned the vehicle.
Keep the urgent shipment focused
Provide the exact deadline, package or pallet measurements and required handling. Dedicated hotshot is designed around the accepted direct movement, not unplanned stops added after departure. Any change should be communicated to dispatch for review.
GPS tracking helps the booking account follow the approach, and the POD records the agreed receiving handoff. Use those records with the maintenance or customer-order reference so the daytime team can see what was delivered overnight.
Can WTM pick up from a supplier that has already closed?
Only under an authorised release arrangement with someone able to provide access to the prepared goods. Dispatch availability is not permission to enter closed premises.
Does an after-hours quote include waiting?
Describe any expected wait or access procedure before approval. The confirmed quote establishes the service, including any agreed waiting or handling arrangement.
Make the late pickup and receiving handoff real, then let WTM organise the urgent journey between them.
Keep the urgent delivery visible to your booking team
Review and approve your quote, make the applicable payment and follow the journey with real-time GPS in the WTM Customer Portal. Retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices with the shipment history after the handoff.
Fund your shipping account for up to 25% off eligible services, or discuss the separate 10% recurring-shipment offer for a regular delivery arrangement.
