WTM Logistics · Refrigerated · Southbound

WTM arranges temperature-controlled cut-flower transportation from Calgary suppliers to Lethbridge florists and floral teams. Coordinate the supplier collection with the florist’s preparation window, keeping the order identified and packaged for travel. Provide the supplier’s required conditions for the actual flowers rather than relying on a universal temperature rule.

Build the request around the florist’s work

The delivery may support daily retail sales, an arrangement workshop or a planned event. Ask the receiver when the flowers need to be available for its own preparation. That time can be earlier than the customer collection or event start.

A standing supplier order and a last-minute replacement order can need different service levels. Describe the deadline honestly so WTM can quote the right movement. Immediate requirements should be discussed before assuming a routine collection can be accelerated.

State how the flowers are packed

Give the supplier’s final carton, bucket or container count and the outside dimensions. Specify upright-only packages, fragile heads, long stems or any no-stack instructions. Secure containers and disclose liquids so the transportation arrangement includes the handling they require.

A display image does not tell dispatch how much vehicle space a floral order occupies. For example, several tall prepared pieces may use more protected space than a larger number of boxed stems. Describe the packed load that will actually be collected.

Use product-specific transport instructions

Different flowers and packaging arrangements may require different conditions. Obtain the instruction from the florist or supplier and include it in the request. This service description does not assign one setpoint to all flower varieties or promise a particular vase life.

If the buyer requires temperature reporting, specify it during quotation. WTM’s real-time GPS tracking helps follow the vehicle’s location, while any additional monitoring requirement is a separate part of the accepted arrangement.

Deliver where the florist can receive the order

Identify the workroom or receiving entrance and the person available to accept. A shopfront may be open while its preparation space is accessed from another side. Explain that distinction so the delivery reaches the team expecting the flowers.

For recurring supplier work, keep the contact and packaging instructions consistent and update changes in volume. The broader refrigerated courier guide explains the service context; this route booking focuses on the florist’s actual order and handoff.

Flower-courier questions

Can assembled arrangements travel with boxed stems?

Describe both loads, their packaging and required conditions so WTM can confirm a suitable arrangement.

Can the delivery go straight to an event venue?

Yes, when the venue receiving details and authorised floral-team contact are included in the booking. Setup and arranging are not implied by transport.

Keep the cold-shipment instructions with the request

Use the WTM Customer Portal to submit the load and required conditions, approve your quote and make payment. Follow shipment location with real-time GPS tracking and access issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and history. Any temperature-reporting requirement is agreed separately; location tracking is not a temperature record.
