WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Northbound
A planned cooler shutdown can change where and when a Fort McMurray business should receive its Calgary order. WTM can arrange refrigerated delivery to the agreed receiving location while the business coordinates its own storage. Set the release and handoff around the maintenance plan; do not treat the transport vehicle as unbooked temporary cold storage.

Decide the receiving location before releasing the order
Confirm whether the usual cooler will be ready or whether the buyer has arranged an alternative facility. Provide the actual address, authorised contact and time the receiving storage is available. A purchase order’s original destination may no longer be suitable.
If the maintenance completion time is uncertain, discuss whether the supplier should hold the goods until the buyer is ready. Releasing a product into transit is not a substitute for establishing where it can be accepted at the end.
Describe the revised shipment accurately
Give the final product list, carton or pallet count, dimensions and gross weight. Separate chilled and frozen requirements. Include the supplier’s specified transport conditions and any special monitoring or handling requirement.
An alternate storage site can change unloading arrangements. A location with a loading dock is different from a small premise that needs ground-level handling. Tell WTM about the receiving equipment before a refrigerated vehicle is allocated.
Establish a change-of-plan contact
Name the person authorised to approve a revised destination or receiving time. A technician’s estimate and a purchaser’s approval serve different purposes. Dispatch needs an actionable instruction from the customer when the agreed plan changes.
For illustration, a buyer might plan to receive a smaller essential order at a secondary site while postponing the remaining stock. Quote that split deliberately. Do not assume a driver can hold the original load indefinitely or divide unlabelled products at arrival.
Separate transport from storage and product decisions
WTM’s booking covers the accepted movement and handling. Temporary storage, prolonged vehicle holding or other additional services require specific agreement. The buyer remains responsible for deciding the product’s storage destination and suitability.
The Customer Portal keeps the accepted quote, subsequent shipment records and POD together. Real-time GPS supports coordination with the receiving contact. Send the maintenance-related receiving plan with your refrigerated request so the transportation has a workable endpoint.
Keep the receiving team and accounts connected
Use the WTM Customer Portal to manage the request, quote approval and online payment. GPS visibility supports receiving coordination, while issued BOLs, PODs and invoices provide records for operations and accounts. Access previous shipments without rebuilding the history through email.
