Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · LTL

WTM Logistics can quote suitable Calgary-origin LTL shipments with separate receivers in Fort St. John and Taylor. The shipment plan needs more than a combined pallet count. Identify which units belong to each destination, how each stop can receive them and the delivery commitment applicable to the complete movement.

Build the allocation before requesting the quote

List every receiver, address and contact. Assign each pallet or crate to its intended stop using a reference visible on the prepared unit. A shared purchasing department does not turn two delivery addresses into one freight handoff.

For example, a Calgary supplier may have two pallets for an FSJ workshop and one for a Taylor yard. The request should show those allocations explicitly, not merely “three pallets to the Fort St. John area.” That lets the handling and receiving requirements be assessed separately.

Measure each allocation, not only the total load

Provide external dimensions, gross weights and stacking restrictions for every unit. One receiver may have standard skids, while another needs a non-stackable crate. A single average weight or height can conceal the difference.

Do not assume the driver will open and redistribute stock at the destination. The supplier should prepare the allocation in the form agreed for transportation. If repacking or sorting is needed, describe it as an additional requirement before booking.

Confirm unloading and appointments at both stops

A staffed dock at one address does not establish a forklift at the other. Include tailgate or other handling needs where relevant, with clear access instructions. The second delivery should not become an unplanned ground-level unloading problem.

Give the receiving windows for each location and identify any hard deadline. WTM confirms the transportation arrangement for the complete route. A quote for a single direct hotshot is not interchangeable with shared-capacity freight serving multiple receivers.

Keep each delivery traceable

Use the Customer Portal to review and approve the complete quotation. Follow GPS tracking during the movement and retrieve the issued transport documents. Keep each receiving record associated with the correct pallet allocation.

Your purchasing team can reconcile delivered units against the supplier list without assuming all stock arrived at the same place. For repeated multi-location orders, retain the familiar allocation structure but update quantities, dates and access details. WTM can discuss a recurring arrangement that reflects those real stops and shipment sizes.

Frequently asked questions

Can one request include separate FSJ and Taylor receivers?

Yes. Include every stop, its pallet allocation and receiving requirements for the complete quotation.

Will the driver divide cartons between receivers on arrival?

The supplier should prepare the agreed allocations. Any additional sorting or handling must be specified and accepted separately.
