Calgary ↔ Fort St. John · Courier

WTM Logistics delivers prepared new-employee kits from Calgary to Fort St. John offices and workplaces. A labelled box can bring together the items a new team member needs without assigning separate collections for stationery, clothing and approved equipment. Build the shipment around the person and start date, while keeping workplace access and training arrangements separate.

Organise the kit before booking transportation

Have your team complete the kit list and package the items securely. Identify the employee or internal issue number on the carton without exposing unnecessary personal information. A central HR or purchasing contact can confirm which boxes are ready for release.

Tell dispatch about laptops, fragile screens, batteries or other contents needing particular handling. A kit is not automatically an ordinary parcel because it belongs to one employee. The packed dimensions, weight and contents determine the transportation requirement.

Send to a receiver who can issue the kit

Choose between a city office, staffed accommodation reception or a workplace receiving department. Each needs an identified person authorised to accept the box. The courier delivers the shipment; your organisation controls the later issue to the employee.

When multiple employees start together, use a list that pairs each kit number with its destination. Do not assume all boxes for the same employer belong at the same building. A clear receiving plan also avoids a personal package being mistaken for general stock.

Work backwards from the start date

Ask when the kit must be in the local coordinator's hands, not simply when the employee's first shift begins. Internal checking and issue can take place before the person starts. Give WTM that receiving deadline when requesting the quote.

For a late addition, describe the genuinely missing item and discuss the appropriate service. A separate urgent box may be more practical than changing the transportation plan for every completed kit. WTM can quote that movement without turning all routine onboarding deliveries into hotshots.

Keep shipping records separate from employee records

Use the Customer Portal for the shipment request, quote approval, payment and GPS tracking. Keep the POD against the internal issue reference and retrieve the invoice for accounts.

Do not treat the delivery record as confirmation that an employee received training or signed an equipment agreement. Those steps remain in your own process. The value of the courier account is making the transportation easy to manage while the business keeps control of its people and equipment records.

Frequently asked questions

Can different kits go to different FSJ addresses?

Yes. Provide the destination and package count for every stop so the full delivery arrangement can be quoted.

Can I send a single forgotten item after the main kit?

Yes. Request a separate shipment and state the receiving deadline so WTM can match the urgency to the service.

Book, approve and follow the shipment

Request your next shipment in the WTM Customer Portal, review and approve the quote, and pay online. Real-time GPS tracking helps you follow the movement; issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and shipment history keep the transport records together.

WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Confirm the applicable offer with your quote; the two offers are not automatically combined.
