WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · LTL

WTM Logistics quotes Lloydminster-to-Calgary LTL for accepted bulky displays and lightweight crated goods using the actual load dimensions and handling needs. Low weight does not mean a shipment occupies little vehicle space. Measure the protected unit and identify restrictions before comparing it with an ordinary pallet of dense cartons.

Measure after the protective packaging is finished

A display model can need a much larger box or frame than its visible product dimensions suggest. Include the base, protective edges and any overhang in the length, width and height. Give the packed weight, not only the model’s weight.

For an illustrative comparison, a package measuring 120 by 100 by 150 centimetres occupies 1.8 cubic metres of rectangular space. Another at 120 by 100 by 75 centimetres occupies 0.9 cubic metres. The same floor footprint does not mean the same volume or handling arrangement.

State whether other freight may be placed above it

The responsible shipper should determine and disclose stackability. A light decorative unit may be fragile or unstable even inside a large carton. Calling it non-stackable identifies an important planning requirement; it does not by itself establish a fixed price.

Protect the surfaces and features that matter to the display. Packaging should support the load against normal transport movement. The carrier should not be expected to rebuild an unsupported model or decide which ornamental parts can be removed.

Confirm the receiving doorway and handoff

Tell WTM where the Calgary receiver will accept the crate and what unloading equipment is available. A lightweight but large package may still be difficult to move through a reception area. Inside placement and uncrating are not automatically included in freight delivery.

A showroom deadline may also differ from an installation date. Book against the time the receiving team can accept and store the protected unit, leaving its own assembly or display work separate from transportation.

Compare service on the complete load description

LTL suits accepted freight that can use the agreed planned arrangement. If the display must meet a rigid event intake deadline, disclose that so direct hotshot can be assessed where appropriate. Do not assume a bulky item is urgent or a lightweight item is an ordinary courier parcel.

The WTM Customer Portal provides quote approval, GPS tracking and available transport documents. Keep the packed measurements and handling instructions with the request so future loads can be compared on the same basis.

Bulky-freight questions

Is weight the only basis for the quote?

No. WTM reviews dimensions, handling, route, timing and receiving requirements alongside weight for the actual shipment.

Can a display be shipped without a pallet?

Describe its support, packaging and handling needs so dispatch can confirm how the accepted load should be transported.

Manage transport without losing the paperwork

Your WTM Customer Portal supports new requests, quote review and approval, online payment, live GPS tracking and historical shipment records. Issued BOLs, PODs and invoices stay accessible with the movement they document.

Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request access at admin@wtmlogistics.com.

Ready to move your shipment? Send WTM the collection and delivery addresses, packed load, ready time and required arrival. Include temperature or special-handling requirements where applicable.
