WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · LTL

WTM Logistics provides LTL transport from Calgary to Lloydminster for accepted palletised retail stock. When an order grows beyond a few courier cartons, a properly prepared pallet can keep the handling units organised for the receiving store. Describe the complete loaded pallets and the shop's unloading arrangement before booking.

Consolidate cartons without losing order identity

Use the store’s purchase or transfer references on the packing list and identify which pallets contain each order. Where several product lines share a pallet, retain a simple map in the supplier’s paperwork. The receiver should be able to find a line without assuming every carton belongs to the same order.

Keep each destination separate. If some stock is intended for another store, disclose the additional delivery and label the relevant units clearly. One pallet collection is not automatically one consignee or one receiving appointment.

Prepare the load for freight handling

The shipper should choose sound supporting pallets and suitable protective packaging for the actual goods. Keep product within the measured footprint where practicable and disclose overhang when present. Secure cartons so the completed unit can be handled as intended.

Record the loaded height and gross weight. A pallet described as standard can still have a different stack of products from the previous week. Tell WTM whether the finished load can accept stacking and whether particular cartons require protection from pressure.

Give the store a realistic unloading plan

A retail shop may not have a dock or forklift. State the receiving entrance and request any ground-level unloading requirement in the quote. Tailgate service and movement into a shop are different tasks, so describe both when needed.

For illustration, a store may receive one pallet of boxed seasonal stock while keeping its sales floor open. A planned goods-door handoff and a staff member ready to receive can be more useful than an arrival during the busiest customer period.

Separate replenishment from a sales emergency

LTL is a planned freight option. If one carton is urgently needed to complete a customer order, ask whether it should travel separately by courier or hotshot instead of making the entire pallet movement urgent. The supplier needs a clear split-release instruction.

Use the WTM Customer Portal to approve the freight quote, follow GPS tracking and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Retain the store’s product receiving records separately, linked to the same purchase references. Recurring stock patterns can support a regular delivery proposal.

Retail LTL questions

Can a small store receive a pallet without a dock?

Provide the load dimensions, weight and access details. WTM can assess the appropriate tailgate or other agreed receiving arrangement.

Does the driver unpack and shelve stock?

Not under an ordinary freight handoff. Describe any additional work required before accepting a transport quotation.

Keep the shipment and its records together

Request your shipment, review and approve the quote, and pay online through the WTM Customer Portal. Follow the journey with real-time GPS and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Shipment history keeps earlier movements available for reference.

WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. The applicable offer is confirmed with your quote; the two offers are not automatically combined.

Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request access at admin@wtmlogistics.com.

Ready to move your shipment? Send WTM the collection and delivery addresses, packed load, ready time and required arrival. Include temperature or special-handling requirements where applicable.
