Describe each handling unit, not just the pallet count

Two pallets can occupy very different amounts of space. Provide the outside dimensions and gross weight of each loaded unit, including overhang. Tell WTM which units can be stacked and which must have clear space above them.

A useful load description might identify a low stackable skid of cartons and a taller non-stackable crate separately. Calling both standard pallets hides the information needed to plan transport capacity and handling.

Make the Calgary release unambiguous

Give the supplier’s warehouse address, collection reference and ready time. If an order is held at a different branch from the seller’s invoicing address, use the physical release location. Confirm that the entire booked load is prepared and authorised for collection.

Identify the loading equipment available. A pallet at ground level without a forklift is a different collection from freight waiting on a staffed loading dock. That difference belongs in the initial request rather than being discovered when the truck arrives.

Book the actual Lloydminster handoff

State the receiving address, entrance and contact, with the province and postal code. Explain any appointment, tailgate or special unloading need. Door-to-door transportation does not automatically include carrying freight upstairs or placing equipment in its final operating position.

Provide the real deadline and any flexibility. WTM confirms the applicable collection and delivery arrangement for the lane and load. A general highway driving estimate is not a promise that an LTL shipment has the same timetable as a dedicated hotshot.

Keep the paperwork proportional to the shipment

The packing list describes the products, while the transport records identify the movement and handling units. Link both to the purchase reference. Follow GPS tracking through the Customer Portal and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices as available.

For repeated pallet shipments, supply a normal shipment profile rather than a guessed annual volume. WTM can discuss a recurring arrangement based on the actual lane, size and receiving pattern, with urgent exceptions handled separately when required.

Can I ship only one pallet?

Yes. Describe the accepted pallet’s dimensions, weight and handling needs so WTM can quote the appropriate LTL service.

Is refrigerated freight the same booking?

No. Declare temperature-sensitive products and their required conditions so suitable refrigerated capacity can be reviewed and quoted.
