WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · Refrigerated hotshot

An urgent Calgary-to-Lloydminster order can contain products that need different transport conditions. WTM Logistics can review the load and quote an appropriate refrigerated hotshot arrangement, but one purchase order does not mean one temperature setting will suit everything. Separate the product requirements before approving the service.

List the requirement by product group

Ask the supplier for each group’s acceptable transport range and handling instructions. Describe chilled, frozen and other temperature-sensitive products separately. Include quantity, package count and the external dimensions of the transport units.

A label such as perishable goods is too broad to establish compatibility. The decision should use the actual product instructions and packaging, not the assumption that anything refrigerated can share a compartment with anything else refrigerated.

Compare the available arrangements

Where products require incompatible conditions, dispatch must confirm a suitable solution. That may involve different equipment or separate movements. Do not assume that adding an insulated box creates a validated alternative to the required temperature-controlled service.

A useful booking table has three columns: product group, required conditions and latest receiving time. If one group is urgent and another can wait, the business may decide to move the urgent group directly and quote the remainder separately. The buyer, supplier and receiver should agree that split.

Keep split consignments traceable

When the shipment is divided, create distinct release references and piece counts. The supplier needs to know which units each vehicle is authorised to collect. The Lloydminster receiver needs to know whether it should expect one delivery or several.

For example, a retailer might have a frozen replenishment shortage and a separate chilled order available from the same supplier. The two commercial needs do not automatically require the same collection arrangement. Clearly identifying both makes the transport choice easier to explain and compare.

Agree what will be measured and recorded

Specify any logger or temperature-report requirement while requesting the quote. Record who supplies the device, where its identity is recorded and who retrieves the information at receiving. GPS tracking records the shipment’s location; it is not a measurement of every package’s temperature.

The Customer Portal supports the transport request, quote decision, payment and available shipment paperwork. Keep supplier product instructions and any separate temperature records linked to the relevant consignment in your own process. The goal is a clear service specification, not simply more paperwork.

Mixed-temperature questions

Does WTM promise separate temperature zones in every vehicle?

No. Describe the requirement and have dispatch confirm suitable equipment or separate movements for the actual order.

Can one invoice contain products travelling separately?

That is a commercial arrangement between buyer and supplier. The transport records should still identify the contents and handoff of each shipment separately.

Keep the shipment and its records together

Request your shipment, review and approve the quote, and pay online through the WTM Customer Portal. Follow the journey with real-time GPS and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Shipment history keeps earlier movements available for reference.

WTM offers 10% off recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. The applicable offer is confirmed with your quote; the two offers are not automatically combined.

Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request access at admin@wtmlogistics.com.

Ready to move your shipment? Send WTM the collection and delivery addresses, packed load, ready time and required arrival. Include temperature or special-handling requirements where applicable.
