WTM Logistics · Calgary–Lloydminster · Refrigerated hotshot

WTM Logistics can move an accepted temperature-sensitive stock consignment from Calgary to an authorised Lloydminster receiver using refrigerated hotshot transport. This can support a planned storage change, site handover or maintenance arrangement when the receiving location is ready. Book the complete transfer before stock is moved out of its normal controlled environment.

Secure the destination before arranging collection

Confirm that the Lloydminster receiver has agreed to accept the products and can provide the required intake and storage arrangements. A vehicle is a transport resource, not an automatic substitute for a customer’s warehouse or cold room.

The business should decide which products are eligible to move and how they are identified. If there is a concern about product condition or storage history, use the responsible food business’s decision process before transportation is accepted. A quick journey does not resolve a product-quality problem by itself.

Separate the stock list from the vehicle load

Your inventory records may describe hundreds of individual units. WTM needs the transport units: cartons, crates or pallets with outside dimensions and gross weights. Include non-stackable units and any restrictions on loading order.

Number the units so the release and receiving teams can reconcile them. A clear transfer reference lets both locations distinguish the relocated stock from ordinary supplier deliveries arriving on the same day.

Agree the temperature and timing together

Give the transport requirement for each product group and the planned ready time. Disclose any incompatible chilled or frozen groups rather than assuming one vehicle setting covers the entire list. Where the transfer is large, discuss refrigerated freight capacity rather than squeezing it into a parcel description.

A dedicated hotshot is useful when a defined release window and receiving deadline make direct movement important. Actual collection depends on the accepted load and equipment position. Keep the release team informed when preparation changes so the transport plan stays realistic.

Plan the final handoff, including an exception contact

Name the person who can decide what happens if the receiver cannot accept the load as arranged. Any redirection needs authorisation and a suitable alternative destination. Do not rely on a driver to choose storage or product-disposition arrangements.

The Customer Portal provides quote decisions, payment, real-time GPS and issued transport documents. Link the POD to your stock-transfer record and request any needed temperature reporting at booking. Transport evidence supports the movement; your inventory system records the ownership and location change.

Relocation questions

Is this an emergency refrigeration repair service?

No. WTM transports accepted goods. The customer arranges product decisions, equipment repairs and the destination’s storage.

Can stock be brought back after maintenance?

Yes. Quote that as a separate movement once the return destination, release time and packed load are known.

From request to delivery record

Use your WTM Customer Portal to submit the load details, approve the quoted service and make payment. Follow location updates with real-time GPS tracking, then find available shipment documents and invoices in the same account.

Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request access at admin@wtmlogistics.com.

Ready to move your shipment? Send WTM the collection and delivery addresses, packed load, ready time and required arrival. Include temperature or special-handling requirements where applicable.
