WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Southbound
WTM can move prepared pallets of authorised unused project materials from Fort McMurray to Calgary by LTL. A good closeout shipment begins with a reconciled material list and a supplier willing to receive it. Freight transport then provides the movement and delivery record; it does not decide which materials qualify for a commercial credit.

Sort the materials by receiving supplier
Separate products belonging to different return authorisations or destinations. Label each pallet with the appropriate supplier and reference. A mixed project skid can create extra work if the Calgary receiver must sort unrelated goods to find its own return.
Count and describe the items before wrapping. Keep the detailed inventory with your project records and the supplier’s paperwork. WTM needs a transport description, packed measurements and any special handling information for the actual load.
Obtain the supplier’s receiving instructions
Confirm the return address, goods entrance, hours and authorised reference. A branch that sold the materials may direct returns to a separate warehouse. Use the address the supplier has agreed to receive, not an old delivery note by default.
Explain damaged packaging, opened products or unusual conditions before requesting transport acceptance. The supplier decides which goods it will accept; the carrier needs the actual condition and transport requirements disclosed.
Prepare pallets for shared transport
Use sound packaging and secure the load so cartons or components remain associated with the pallet. State non-stackable sections and include all overhangs in the final dimensions. Gross weight must include the pallet and protective packaging.
Disclose products requiring special review, such as liquids, batteries or other specially handled items. A “project surplus” label does not describe the contents adequately. The accepted freight service must match what is actually on the skid.
Coordinate closeout without creating a false urgency
Plan collection once the inventory, packaging and supplier appointment are settled. If a firm return deadline requires faster transport, compare a dedicated option separately. LTL should not be promised to meet a deadline that dispatch has not accepted.
Use the Customer Portal for quotes, payment arrangements and shipment records. Retain the POD with the project return reference and keep any supplier credit note separately. Request the southbound freight once the supplier and pallet list agree.
Manage this shipment from request to delivery
Request a shipment, review and approve the quote, and manage the agreed payment in the WTM Customer Portal. Follow active transportation with real-time GPS tracking and retrieve issued BOLs, PODs and invoices. Shipment history keeps previous delivery details within reach.
