WTM Logistics · Calgary–Fort McMurray · Northbound
WTM delivers prepared dairy orders from Calgary suppliers to Fort McMurray cafés and food shops through refrigerated courier service. Identify the actual products and supplier’s transport instructions, then arrange a handoff with someone able to receive the cold shipment. A weekly case order and an urgent stock shortage should have clearly different booking priorities.

Make the order description useful to dispatch
State the number of sealed cases, their outer dimensions and packed weight. Describe any fragile packaging or upright containers. A commercial order containing milk, cultured products and specialty items may involve different packaging even when everything comes from one supplier.
Provide the product-specific transport requirement rather than assuming one temperature instruction covers every item sold as dairy. Keep the supplier’s product and lot references with the buyer’s order records so the delivered cases can be matched correctly.
Agree the Calgary release window
Have the supplier confirm that the complete order is ready for collection. Record the warehouse entrance and release reference; a retail storefront or head-office address may not be the shipping point.
When the order changes after quoting, update the case count and requirements. A last-minute additional product can alter the space or handling arrangement. The accepted booking should describe the load actually leaving the supplier.
Plan receiving around the café’s work
Name an authorised person and a receiving entrance that will be accessible at the agreed time. Explain whether the buyer is accepting at a shop, production kitchen or separate storage location. A busy service counter may need advance notice of a larger delivery.
The receiving business should arrange its own appropriate storage and product checks. The POD records the handoff, not the retailer’s stock rotation or food-quality assessment. Keep those functions connected by the order reference without treating them as the same record.
Use a recurring proposal for predictable demand
Send WTM the usual days, case quantities and destinations. A regular pattern is a practical starting point for the recurring-shipment offer; one exceptionally large order should not be treated as the normal weekly load.
Refrigerated Sprinters and larger refrigerated equipment let WTM assess the right fit as volumes change. Review quotes and issued invoices through the Customer Portal, and use GPS visibility to coordinate receiving. Ask for a dairy courier quote built around the supplier release and the shop’s real storage handoff.
Keep the receiving team and accounts connected
Use the WTM Customer Portal to manage the request, quote approval and online payment. GPS visibility supports receiving coordination, while issued BOLs, PODs and invoices provide records for operations and accounts. Access previous shipments without rebuilding the history through email.
Save 10% on recurring shipments under the applicable arrangement. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask which offer applies to your quote; the two are not automatically combined.
