WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound
WTM provides refrigerated transport options for prepared frozen meat orders travelling from Red Deer to Calgary. The supplier releases the packed product under its own handling process, and the buyer arranges suitable cold receiving. WTM’s role is the confirmed transportation between those two points, using the equipment and conditions specified for the consignment.

Define the frozen consignment clearly
Describe sealed retail packs or foodservice cases, their total count, outer measurements and gross weight. Identify the required transport conditions supplied by the food business. Different states or requirements should be listed separately rather than grouped under a loose description of “meat.”
This article concerns prepared packages, not live animals, slaughter, processing or unpackaged carcass handling. Disclose any shipment outside the normal packed-order description before seeking acceptance so the correct service can be assessed.
Release a shipment that is ready to travel
Have the supplier confirm that the full order is packed, identified and at the required condition for collection. A cold transport booking is not a request for the vehicle to complete the supplier’s freezing process on the road.
Use packaging designed to keep the consignment contained and stable during movement. Note any upright, segregation or non-stackable requirements. Larger orders can be reviewed as refrigerated LTL with a pallet loading and unloading plan.
Match the destination to the buyer’s cold capacity
The Calgary receiving point may be a shop, commercial kitchen or distribution facility. Provide the correct goods entrance and a person who can accept the order at the agreed time. A storefront address without receiving instructions may not identify where a refrigerated consignment should be handed over.
Do not assume unattended delivery is suitable. The buyer and supplier should establish the acceptance and storage arrangements after transport, particularly where deliveries go to smaller premises.
Keep product and shipment records connected
Maintain the supplier’s product identity and batch information with the commercial order. WTM provides transportation records, including the POD and issued invoice, through the Customer Portal. Any additional temperature reporting required by the buyer should be agreed before the service is booked.
A location update is useful for planning receipt, but it is not a product-temperature reading. This distinction lets the buyer request the evidence actually needed rather than relying on an unrelated tracking feature.
Can a Calgary buyer book pickup at a Red Deer supplier?
Yes. Authorise the supplier to release the identified order to WTM and provide the packaging, condition and receiving details.
Can a small frozen order use courier rather than a full truck?
WTM can assess suitable refrigerated courier equipment for smaller prepared loads. Give the complete requirements so the service can be matched to the actual shipment.
Book the frozen order with its handling instructions and Calgary cold-receiving plan included.
Keep the cold-delivery request and records together
Use the WTM Customer Portal for your request, quote approval, payment and shipment history. Real-time GPS shows the movement; issued BOLs, PODs and invoices remain with the shipment. Product-specific temperature reporting is a separate requirement to agree in the booking.
Regular shippers can ask about 10% off recurring shipments. A prepaid credit account is a separate option with up to 25% off eligible services. The two offers are not automatically combined.
