WTM Logistics · Calgary–Red Deer · Southbound
Red Deer producers and distributors can use WTM refrigerated courier service to send prepared cheese and dairy orders to Calgary retailers. Identify each product’s transport requirements and each shop’s receiving window before collection. The objective is not just to move cartons south, but to deliver an order the buyer can identify and transfer into its own controlled storage promptly.

Separate the products’ instructions from their marketing names
Cheese, cultured products and other dairy items do not all share one instruction merely because they appear on the same purchase order. Obtain the supplier’s approved transport conditions and communicate them clearly to WTM.
State whether the consignment is chilled, frozen or requires another controlled condition. Do not use an undefined request such as “keep cool” when the business has a specific requirement. Any recording, handling or segregation requirement belongs in the quote brief.
Allocate cartons by Calgary buyer
Pack and label the retail orders before collection. Use the buyer’s purchase reference and keep product and batch details associated with the supplier’s documents. The courier’s package count and POD complement those documents; they do not replace product traceability records.
A single pallet going to one distribution receiver differs from several cartons delivered to individual stores. Provide the exact allocation and receiving address for each stop so the service can be planned accurately.
Protect the physical load
Tell WTM the type of outer containers, carton sizes and gross weights. Secure upright or delicate packs and identify packages that should not support other freight. Prepared goods should be in the condition required for loading, under the supplier’s own food-handling procedure.
WTM can match smaller consignments to refrigerated courier equipment and discuss refrigerated LTL when the load becomes pallet-scale. That gives the producer room to grow without treating a pallet order as a large collection of ordinary parcels.
Make the retail handoff part of the order
Confirm that the receiving shop has an authorised person and suitable capacity at the agreed time. A retail opening time alone does not show that the goods-receiving team can accept a large order. Include any service entrance or appointment instructions.
For recurring deliveries, maintain a normal store list but update changes in quantities and conditions. Use your shipment history to review the transport pattern while keeping the product’s acceptance and storage checks within the buyer’s own process.
Can WTM deliver to more than one Calgary shop?
Yes, request a multi-stop quotation with the order allocation, package counts and receiving windows for every shop.
Is a refrigerated vehicle enough information for the booking?
No. Include the required product conditions, the complete packed load and any additional recording or handling expectations so the correct arrangement can be agreed.
Arrange southbound dairy delivery with a clear product instruction and an identified buyer at every stop.
Keep the cold-delivery request and records together
Use the WTM Customer Portal for your request, quote approval, payment and shipment history. Real-time GPS shows the movement; issued BOLs, PODs and invoices remain with the shipment. Product-specific temperature reporting is a separate requirement to agree in the booking.
Regular shippers can ask about 10% off recurring shipments. A prepaid credit account is a separate option with up to 25% off eligible services. The two offers are not automatically combined.
