WTM can arrange Calgary to Lethbridge LTL deliveries of prepared renovation materials in planned stages. A contractor can receive the goods needed for the current phase rather than fill a small worksite with the whole supplier order at once. Each delivery is quoted using its actual pallets, deadline and unloading conditions.

Shared-capacity pallet freight · Agreed unloading · Shipment documents

Divide the supply order into real shipment stages

Have the contractor and supplier agree which materials belong in each release. Label pallets with the project and stage, and keep the relevant packing list with the consignment. The freight driver should not choose which cartons from a mixed supplier load the crew needs first.

A staged arrangement depends on goods being ready and separately packed. If the supplier only holds one assembled mixed pallet, separating it may require preparation before collection. Confirm that work with the supplier rather than adding an unplanned sorting task to delivery.

Measure materials that do not fit neatly

Include the full dimensions of long packs, crates and pallets. State gross weights, overhang and whether items can be stacked. Protect fragile surfaces and tell dispatch about upright-only materials or packages requiring special support.

For illustration, one project might receive boxed fittings first and a crated fixture later. Those stages can have different transport and unloading requirements. Use the actual finished packages for each quote instead of spreading the original order’s total weight evenly across invented loads.

Plan the site handoff, including what is not on site

Confirm access, parking or standing space and unloading resources. A renovation site may have no dock and limited room for a large vehicle. Include a request for a tailgate-equipped truck or inside delivery when needed, with the actual surface and placement details.

The receiving crew should know which stage is arriving and be available to accept it. Moving materials internally, installation and waste removal are separate tasks unless expressly included in the accepted transport scope.

Update the delivery when the project sequence changes

If site readiness moves, tell WTM before collection. A changed work programme can affect both supplier release and receiving access. Do not assume a booked freight delivery can become an indefinite storage arrangement while the site catches up.

For an item needed immediately, ask about hotshot transport for that specific exception. The remaining staged materials can stay on their confirmed LTL plan instead of upgrading every future load.

Staged-material questions

Can one supplier order generate several freight bookings?

Yes. Identify the goods, packaging and dates for each accepted stage.

Does a tailgate booking include carrying materials through the building?

Not automatically. Describe any inside-placement work so the quote can state its scope and resources.

Keep the quote, pallet details and paperwork together

Manage your LTL request, quote approval and payment through the WTM Customer Portal. Track the shipment with real-time GPS visibility and find issued BOLs, PODs, invoices and historical shipments in your account. Update the packed load whenever quantities, dimensions or receiving requirements change.

Save 10% on recurring shipments. A funded credit account separately offers up to 25% off eligible services. Ask WTM which arrangement applies to your quote; the two offers are not combined.

Open the WTM Customer Portal. New customers can request an invitation at admin@wtmlogistics.com.

Book the shipment your business needs moved. Send WTM the route, packed load and required timing for a service-specific quote.
